Calle 13 is a Grammy Award-winning Puerto Rican hip hop band formed by René Pérez Joglar, born on the 23rd February 1978 in Hato Rey, and Eduardo José Cabra Martínez, born on the 10th September 1978 in Santurce. René Pérez Joglar who calls himself Residente, and Eduardo José Cabra Martínez or Visitante, met when they were two years old when Visitante’s father married Residente’s mother, Flor Joglar de Gracia, who was an actress and worked in a local acting troupe. Although their parents divorced later, the stepbrothers remained close and Visitante often visited Residente in a gated community in Trujillo Alto, Puerto Rico, in the street called Calle 13.
