Since his teen years, Bryan has been interested in renovating and building; for instance, he had built the family cottage from ground up, partly from learning skills from his father who was an engineer. He then started his own business, becoming an ‘odd job man’ and working for neighbors. After finished high school, Bryan enrolled at the University of Western Ontario, from which he graduated with a BA degree in Political Science and Business in 1996.

His professional career started even before he had finished his education; in 1995 he started an air-cargo business which operated until 2003. His next successful venture was the construction company Baeumler Quality Construction and Renovations Inc, which has now existed for almost 15 years, and has built or renovated more than 600 houses.

However, Bryan really came to prominence with his TV appearances; starting in 2007 he joined HGTV Canada, firstly as the host of the reality TV show “Disaster DIY” (2007-2011), the title of which indicates the content of the program, and since then he has hosted such shows as “House of Bryan” (2010), “Leave It to Bryan” (2012), then “Canada’s Handyman Challenge” (2012-2014).

Most recently “Bryan Inc.” (2016- present) has begun and continues the series all of which increased his net worth to a large degree. Thanks to his success on TV, which is apparently popular because Canadians are now doing much more DIY, Bryan received the Gemini Award in the category Best Host in a Lifestyle/Practical Information, or Performing Arts Program or Series for “Disaster DIY” in 2008.

Regarding his personal life, Bryan has been married to Sarah since 2004, and with whom he has four children.

Bryan is also a well-known philanthropist; he started the Baeumler Family Foundation, through which he renovates homes of families that are in need of safety, accessibility and security.
