Born Moniece Linae Slaughter under the zodiac sign of Pisces on 4 March 1987, she recently celebrated her 36th birthday. Moniece is a native of Los Angeles, California USA, holds American nationality, and her ethnicity is African-American.

She grew up in a musical family – her mother, Marla Thomas married Dave Thomas, a Grammy-awarded gospel singer, as Moniece’s biological father, Michael Slaughter, and her mother divorced when Moniece was a baby.

From her mother’s second marriage, Moniece has two half-siblings, namely DJ Thomas and Drew, while from her father’s side, she also has a brother, Kyle, and sister Lauryn. Moniece has been the subject of numerous rumors about her love life, as she’s been romantically linked to some big names in the entertainment industry; however, when it comes to her sexuality, Moniece publicly stated, during the third season of the show “Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood” that she’s bisexual.

Moniece also said that she doesn’t care what people say about her, but adding that her biological father wasn’t supportive of Moniece dating a woman.

We could say that it appears that Moniece has had an interesting love life – it’s known that from 2005 to 2007, she was in a relationship with American rapper Lil Eazy E. After the two separated, Moniece began dating Ray J, a singer and actor, and the two were together for a year (2007-2008).

After their break-up, Moniece began a relationship with Lil’ Fizz, whose real name is Dreux Pierre Frederic, also a rapper and singer-songwriter. Their relationship lasted from 2008 to 2012, and they share custody over their son Kamron, born in 2010.

Moniece was then engaged to Rich Dollaz, and their relationship, engagement, and break-up were featured in the second season of “Love Hip Hop: Hollywood” during 2014 and 2015.

In the following year, Moniece revealed that she had been dating a woman named Annette Diggs better known as A. D. Diggs, a Puerto Rican-Italian fashion designer, and the owner of Diggs The Kicks, a sneaker shop. The two dated for two years, from 2016 to 2018, and their relationship was also featured in the mentioned show. By the end of season five they’d separated, and Moniece confirmed on her Instagram that their love story had officially ended. She hasn’t spoken about the reason for their break-up, but said that she’s aware that their relationship brought her many family issues.

Most recently, Moniece was in a relationship with Scrapp DeLeon (2018-2019).

Moniece’s also revealed that she was in a relationship with the great basketball player, Shaquille O’Neal. The two were romantically linked over a decade ago while Moniece was starring in “Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood” but the truth is that the two dated back in 2011. She publicly spoke about their relationship in 2020, and also revealed the reason for their break-up, saying that Shaquille ‘doesn’t like to be questioned’ and as Moniece said, she apparently asked too many questions.

Moniece has also been romantically linked to RoccStar, Og Blood, Joe Smith, Money S.L., and Durrell ‘Tank’ Babs, however, according to her, those were just rumors.

As of April 2023, it seems that Moniece is single, she was once engaged but has never been married, and has one child.

What is she doing now?

Moniece left the main cast of “Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood” in season six, but continued to appear as a supporting character who detailed her mental health issues due to ongoing co-parenting with Lil’ Fizz. She was a special guest star in two episodes of the show’s seventh season, and was also seen in the specials “The Wedding”, “40 Greatest Love & Hip Hop Moments: The Reboot”, and “Dirty Little Secrets”, among others.

Today, Moniece is devoted to her music career, and shares all about her work with her Instagram followers, whose number counts over 1.5 million. She’s announced her new song, and besides her music career, Moniece has tried her luck as an author, publishing her debut book “Mayhem: A Mental Health Memoir” in February 2023.
