Of Jewish ancestry, Ben attended Walter Reed Middle School and Yeshiva University High School of Los Angeles, from which he matriculated at age 16. He then enrolled at the University of California, Los Angeles, from which he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science. He continued his education by enrolling at Harvard Law School, from which he earned cum laude honors in 2007.

Ben then joined Goodwin Procter where he practiced law for a short time, before focusing on his other skills.

When he was 17, Ben started writing his first book, which was published three years later, but due to his influence, he became the youngest nationally syndicated columnist in the USA. His parents had to sign the contract in his stead, since he wasn’t yet an adult.

By the time he turned 21, Ben already had two books written – “Brainwashed: How Universities Indoctrinate America’s Youth”, and “Porn Generation: How Social Liberalism Is Corrupting Our Future”, the sales of which added a significant amount to his net worth. Since then, Ben has become one of the most prominent non-fiction writers, with some of his books “Project President: Bad Hair and Botox on the Road to the White House” (2008), and “Primetime Propaganda: The True Hollywood Story of How the Left Took Over Your TV” (2011), having raised some eyebrows of producers of the TV series “Happy Days” and “M*A*S*H”, among other publications.

In 2012, Ben was appointed as editor-at-large of Breitbart News, which is a news and opinion website launched by the writer, columnist and journalist Andrew Breitbart, but after four years Ben resigned from his position, following creative differences.

In 2015 Ben started The Daily Wire, a news and opinion website, and serves as editor-in-chief, while Michael J. Knowles is the current managing editor.

To speak further of his accomplishments, Ben hosts a daily political podcast called The Ben Shapiro Show, which also contributes to his wealth.

Because of his conservative commentaries, Ben brought attention to himself from a number of people, but also thanks to his success, has given lectures at a number of University campuses, including University of Missouri, Cal State LA, DePaul University and others.

He has also been the target of anti-semitism, and brought attention to himself after referring to Zoey Tur, a transgender activist born as Robert Tur in a male form, after which Zoey threatened him verbally and physically when the two were guests on the “Dr. Drew On Call show.”

Regarding his personal life, Ben has been married to Mor Toledano since 2008; the couple has two children together.
