Who is Rochelle Roman?

Rochelle Roman was born in Tampa, Florida USA, on 29 August 1991 – her zodiac sign is Virgo, and she holds American nationality. She’s a registered nurse, but who’s probably known best for being the wife of famous American professional wrestler Baron Corbin.

Early life and education

Rochelle was raised in Tampa as an only child, by her father Carlos Roman and mother Ivonne Roman; nothing is known about her parents, as she respects their privacy, but it’s believed that her father was a businessman, and that her mother was a real estate agent.

She grew up being interested in numerous activities, played various sports at elementary school, including soccer and volleyball, while she was also into acting in school plays, and dancing. Rochelle enrolled at local high school in 2005, and continued playing sports there, as well as acting; it was when she was 16 that she chose to become a nurse, motivated by a nurse who took care of her when she was sent to a hospital because of an injury.

Baron was raised in Lenexa alongside his brother Danny Pestock, by their father Steven Pestock who passed away in 2008, after having struggled with Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease for quite a while, and their mother Mona Pestock. He became interested in boxing while attending a local high school, and upon matriculating in 2003, Baron enrolled at Northwestern Missouri State University. He was still focused on boxing, and competed in the 2007 Golden Gloves National Tournament of Champions’ super-heavyweight category, and lost in the quarter-finals to Andrae Cathron.

Baron was also interested in American Football during his college years, and played offensive guard.

He was picked by the Indianapolis Colts of the National Football League (NFL) in the 2009 Draft, and signed a contract with them on 27 April; he signed with the Arizona Cardinals on 18 January 2010, and was released on 2 September 2011.

He signed with WWE in August 2012, and fought his first fight on 18 October, when he lost to Dante Dash. Baron won many fights in the following two years, and on 14 January 2015, he beat Bull Dempsey, breaking his long undefeated strike. In January 2016, he joined a triple threat match fought between himself, Samoa Joe and Sami Zayn, which he lost when they both turned against him.

He competed in his first WrestleMania (32) on 3 April 2016, beating Kane and winning the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal. He won the Money in the Bank event in 2017, and in 2019 competed in the King of the Ring Tournament, beating Chad Gable in the finals and thus becoming King Corbin. He chose ‘Happy Corbin’ as his new ring name on 27 August 2021.

Baron is a huge fan of tattoos, and has numerous inked all over his body, several dedicated to his father and grandfather, as well as to the Jackass’ late members Zachary Hartwell and Ryan Dunn, who were killed in a car accident in June 2011.
