In 1992, he started an apprenticeship at Tattoos By Lou, moving to live in Denmark for a while to improve his craft. Eventually, he and his friend Chris Nunez started the tattoo parlor Love Hate Tattoos, which would grow in popularity, and were approached by TLC to make a reality television program that became “Miami Ink”.
