Who is Olivia DeJonge?
Australian actress Olivia DeJonge was born under the zodiac sign Taurus on 30 April 1998 in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. She has 16 acting credits and is perhaps known best for playing the lead character Becca in the critically acclaimed 2015 horror mystery thriller movie “The Visit”, which also starred Deanna Dunagan and Ed Oxenbould, and was written and directed by M. Night Shyamalan. It follows two siblings as they’re vising their grandparents while on vacation; the movie won one of its 15 award nominations.
Olivia’s today highly active in the film industry and is currently shooting for the upcoming movies “The Narrow Road to the Deep North” and “The Trashers”.

Olivia was raised in Melbourne alongside her younger brother James DeJonge, by their father Rob DeJonge and mother Robyn (nee Gradisen); Robyn and Rob are businesspeople and investors who mostly work in the IT and property sectors.
The family moved to Perth, Western Australia when Olivia was five, and she was raised in the suburb Peppermint Grove. Olivia starred as Beth in the 2012 short family comedy “Polarised”, which also starred Bradley Stevens and Cadeyrn Goldsmith, and was directed by Steve Fleming. It follows 12 years old Beth, her younger brother and their dog as they’re trying to snare an old man; it won a 2013 WOW Film Festival Award for Best Australian Fiction Comedy.
A couple of Olivia’s following roles were in the 2012 short family drama “Eleven Thirty”, the 2014 mystery thriller “The Sisterhood of Night” and the above mentioned 2015 “The Visit”. The year 2016 also saw Olivia appear as Ashley in the horror thriller comedy “Better Watch Out”, while in 2018 she played Angie in the thriller “Undertow”, and Shaz in the short drama “Love and Other Places”.
She portrayed Dallas in the 2019 crime thriller “Stray Dolls”, starring alongside Robert Aramayo and Cynthia Nixon, while the film was written and directed by Sonejuhi Sinha. It follows two women who can’t stop committing crimes, and the film won two of its five award nominations.
Olivia played Josie Raeburn in the 2019 drama “Josie & Jack”, and her only other film role has been playing Priscilla in the critically acclaimed 2022 biographical musical “Elvis”, which starred Austin Butler and Tom Hanks, and was written and directed by Baz Luhrmann. It follows the life of Elvis Presley and the movie won 86 of the 310 awards for which it was nominated, including eight Oscar nominations.

Her debut was playing Shaneen Quigg in all eight episodes of the 2015 drama “Hiding”, which starred Lincoln Younes, Kate Jenkinson and James Stewart, and was created by Matt Ford. It follows former mafia member Troy who’s about to give the police information about his former boss, and the series was nominated for two awards.
In 2017, Olivia played one of the main characters Alice Burbage in all 10 episodes of the historical drama “Will”, which also starred Ewen Bremner and Laurie Davidson, and was created by Craig Pearce. It follows the life of William Shakespeare after he arrived in London, England in 1589.

In 2019 Olivia portray Elle Tomkins in all 10 episodes of the mystery science fiction “The Society”, which starred Sean Berdy, Gideon Adlon and Kathryn Newton, and was created by Christopher Keyser. It follows a group of teens from West Ham, London who have to survive on their own now that all other residents from their city have disappeared.
Olivia’s only other TV series role has been starring as Caitlin Atwater in six episodes of the 2022 biographical crime mini-series “The Staircase”, which also starred Toni Collette and Colin Firth, and was created by Antonio Campos. It tells the true story of crime novelist Michael Peterson who was accused of killing his wife, with his judicial battle lasting 16 years; the mini-series was nominated for 36 awards.
