Tracy Spiridakos was born under the zodiac sign of Pisces on 20 February 1988, in Winnipeg, Manitoba Canada, however, soon after her birth, her parents, George and Anastasia, both Greek-born, moved to Tracy’s father’s hometown of Skala in Greece, but then in 1992 returned to Canada and opened a Greek restaurant.
Tracy holds both Canadian and Greek nationality, speaks Greek fluently, and strongly identifies with her Greek heritage.
Growing up, Tracy worked in the family restaurant, but dreamt of becoming a famous actress, and began by acting in school plays, then studied acting at the Actors Training Centre of Manitoba. She attended Oak Park High School, but upon matriculating in 2006, she moved to Vancouver, Canada to pursue her dream.

Tracy made her professional acting debut in 2007, portraying Meredith Hughes in the TV movie “The Adventures of Two Weeks with Wife”, and her next role came in the following year, in another TV movie, entitled “Every Second Counts”, followed by roles in TV movies “Web of Desire” and “Goblin” in 2009.

She made her big-screen debut portraying Cami Winters in the 2010 movie “The Boy She Met Online”, also starring Jon Cor and Alexandra Paul, and she then had a supporting role in the science-fiction action drama “Rise of the Planet of the Apes”, which was nominated for the Oscar for Best Achievement in Visual Effects in 2011. Followed were roles in numerous TV movies, including “Rags” (2012), “The History of Us” (2015), and “Recon” in 2016, which was her most recent movie role.

Tracy made her first TV series appearance as a Nurse in an episode of the popular horror drama “Supernatural” in 2007, followed by guest roles in “Bionic Woman” and “Aliens in America” in the same year. In 2009, she made an appearance in “The L Word”, before she was cast to play Becky Richards in “Majority Rules!”, also starring Jenny Raven and Sasha Clements.
The series was broadcast until 2011, but concurrently, Tracy was seen in “Psych”, “Hellcats”, and “Tower Prep” in 2010, and “Mortal Kombat: Legacy” in 2011. while in the following year, she portrayed Brynn McLean in “Being Human”, followed by her most notable role to date, as Charlie Matheson in “Revolution”, which was aired until 2014.

In 2015, Tracy was cast to play Annika Johnson in “Bates Motel”, and during 2016 and 2017, she had a recurring role as Nikki Carpenter in “MacGyver” before she was seen as Hailey Upton in “Chicago P. D.” (2017-2022). Concurrently, Tracy was starring in “Chicago Med” (2018-2019), “Chicago Fire” (2018-2022), and “FBI” (2020).
Love life and relationships
There have been various rumors concerning both Tracy’s love life and her sexual orientation, however, she’s kept her private life away from the media’s attention, and hasn’t spoken about her previous relationships before she met Jon Cor.
Back in 2012, she announced that she and Jon Cor were engaged, and that they had been dating for a few years, but kept their relationship a secret. Many of her fans believe that their love story started sometime in 2009, and that they met on casting for the movie “The Boy She Met Online”, in which they both starred, however, Tracy hasn’t confirmed these assumptions.
Jon Cor is a Canadian actor, perhaps known best for his role as Hodge Starkweather in the series “Shadowhunters”; he and Tracy also worked together for the series “Being Human”.
