Pentatonix
An American a-cappella group Pentatonix, originally from Arlington, Texas, is known for its pop-style arrangements with beat-boxing, riffing, vocal harmonies, percussion and bass lines. The group was formed in 2011, with members Mitch Grassi, Kirstin Maldonado and Scott Hoying who were high school friends. Later, Avi Kaplan and Kevin Olusola joined the group.
Subsequently, the group won the third season of the National Broadcasting Company (NBC)’s show “The Sing-Off”, winning $200,000 and a contract with Sony Music.
In 2017, Avi Kaplan stated that he was leaving Pentatonix, and on 13 October of that same year, Scott Hoying introduced the public to new member, Matt Sallee, the second bass in the group.
Matt was featured for the first time in the edition “A Pentatonix Christmas Deluxe” released in November 2017, while he was also heard on their album “PTX Presents: Top Pop, Vol. I” released in April 2018.
In the following year, Pentatonix released “The Best of Pentatonix Christmas”, and Matt sang the lead vocal for the cover of “You’re a Mean One, Mr. Grinch”, a song that was originally written for the animated special “Dr. Seuss’ – How the Grinch Stole Christmas!”

The two became engaged on 11 October 2020, and exchanged their wedding vows on 2 January 2022, in Malibu, California – they wrote their own vows and were married by pastors from their church, Jona and Jennifer Toldeo.. Matt was emotional and he began crying before he even saw Sarah in her wedding dress.
They spent their honeymoon at the resort in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico and have both said that they are planning to have kids soon. Matt said that he wants eight children, while Sarah thinks it is a big number, they joke, saying that three is what they are planning for now.
