Who is Kiersey Clemons?
Before we began our story about Kiersey Clemons, let us tell you that Kiersey identifies as queer, so we will use they/them pronouns in this article. They are an actor, musician, and producer, who rose to prominence after their role as Cassandra ‘Diggy’ Andrews in the comedy-drama “Dope”, which brought them the Black Reel Award for Outstanding Breakthrough Performance, Female, in 2016.
When it was announced that Kiersey Clemons will be seen as Iris West in the long-awaited action adventure “The Flash”, fans of this DC franchise wanted to know more about them. After multiple delays, the movie was expected to be released in November 2022, however, the new release date is 23 June 2023.

Early life, family, and education
Kiersey Nicole Clemens were born on 17 December 1993, which makes their zodiac sign Sagittarius; their birth town is Pensacola, Florida USA, although as an army brat, they grew up moving around the US. Speaking of their ethnicity, they come from a biracial family, of white and African-American heritage, and they have three sisters.
The family eventually settled in Redondo Beach, California, where they attended high school, and upon matriculating in 2011, they didn’t enroll in college but pursued their acting career.
Roles in series
Kiersey had an interest in performing from an early age, and they played in theatre before making their television debut as Danielle in an episode of the series “Shake It Up” in 2010. In the following year, Kiersey were seen in “Bucket and Skinner’s Epic Adventures” and “Good Luck Charlie”.
In 2013, they made an appearance in an episode of the series “CSI: Crime Scene Investigation” before they were cast to play Kira Starr in “Austin & Ally”, a popular teenage comedy-drama starring Raini Rodriguez, Laura Marano and Ross Lynch.
Kiersey’s next role came in 2014, when they were cast to play Oli in “What’s Next for Sarah”, followed by their role as Sophia in “Eye Candy”.
Next, they portrayed Bianca in “Transparent”, a comedy-drama that followed the story of a Los Angeles family with serious borderline issues, who finds their past and future unraveling when a dramatic confession causes everyone’s secrets to come out. The series had 113 award nominations and won 56, including eight Primetime Emmys, while Kiersey were nominated for the Young Artist Award for Best Performance in a TV Series – Recurring Young Actress 17-21, in 2015.
From 2016 until 2019, Kiersey have a recurring role as Chase in “Easy”, and concurrently they were seen as Maria Charo in “Angie Tribeca” in 2018. Two years later, Kiersey portrayed Tessa in “Ghost Tape”, followed by their role as Derica in “Fairfax” from 2021 until 2022.
Roles in movies
Kiersey made their big-screen debut playing the role of Diggy in the 2015 movie “Dope” opposite Tony Revolori and Shameik Moore; this adventure crime comedy followed the story of Malcolm, a geek who hardly survives in a tough neighborhood, but his life changes after he goes to an underground party. The movie had 25 award nominations and won five, including Kiersey’s award.
In the following year, they were seen as Beth in “Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising”, followed by their role as Mimi Pastori in “The Only Living Boy in New York” in 2017.
Next, they were cast to play Sophia in the 2018 horror “Flatliners”, starring Elliot Page, Nina Dobrev, and Diego Luna. In the same year, Kiersey were seen as Marisa in “Little Bitches”, followed by their roles as Sam Fisher in “Hearts Beat Loud”, and as Velocity in “An L. A. Minute”.

The following year saw Kiersey as Jenn in “Sweetheart” opposite Emory Cohen and Hanna Mangan Lawrence. Their performance in this horror mystery brought Kiersey the Austin Fantastic Fest Horror Jury Special Mention-Best Actress Award, and a nomination for the Fangoria Chainsaw Award for Best Actress.
In the epic love story “Lady and the Tramp”, Kiersey voiced the character of Darling, and next, they were heard as Dee Dee Skyes in “Scoob!” in 2020.
They followed with their role as Julia in “Antebellum”, a horror mystery drama, written and directed by Christopher Renz and Gerard Bush, which won the ReFrame Stamp Award for Top 100 Most Popular Narrative & Animated Feature.
In 2021, Kiersey were seen as Iris West in “Zack Snyder’s Justice League”, starring Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill and Gal Gadot, followed by their roles in “Asking for It”, “Z”, and “Red Bird Lane”.
In 2022, Kiersey were cast to play Brittany in the romantic comedy-drama “Am I OK?”, and their most recent movie role was in the thriller “Susie Searches” opposite Ken Marino and Jim Gaffigan.
As mentioned, Kiersey will reprise her role as Iris West in “The Flash” but their fans will be happy to hear that they finished the filming of two more movies, entitled “Somebody I Used to Know” and “The Young Wife”, which are currently in development.

Kiersey are opened up about their love life and their sexual orientation. They shared with their fans that they suffered from bipolar disorder before they were formally diagnosed.
Speaking of their love life, Kiersey haven’t been married and they don’t have a husband, but they are in a relationship with an Australian stunt double, Ebony De La Haye, whom they met during the filming of “Sweetheart”, when Ebony doubled Kiersey during action sequences.
Kiersey and Ebony were in a long-distance relationship at first, but after a year, they began living together.
Age and appearance
Kiersey’s age is 28, they have naturally black, curly hair which they currently dye blonde, and the color of their eyes is brown. Their weight is around 120lbs (55kgs) and they are 5ft 5ins (1.7m) tall, while their vital statistics are 35-25-36.
