After taking a five-year-long break from acting between 2010 and 2015, Kevin made his comeback with a recurring role in the medical drama series “Open Heart”. Created by Ramona Barckert, the show aired on YTV from 2015 through 2016, and followed the story of Dylan Blake (played by Karis Cameron), a rebellious teenager who is investigating the mysterious disappearance of her father who worked at a prestigious hospital. In the series, Kevin played the role of Dr. Timothy Hudson, a resident cardiologist known for his cold and aloof demeanor; his performance was well-received by the audience, and helped him further his acting career.

Next in 2016 until 2021, he landed a recurring role on the Canadian soap-opera “Heartland”, which aired on CBC, playing the character Mitch Cutty, a charming and compassionate veterinarian who becomes a love interest for one of the show’s main characters, Amy Fleming (played by Amber Marshall). Concurrently, Kevin continued to make minor appearances in Canadian TV shows such as “The Bold Type” (2018), “When Hope Calls” (2019), and “Schitt’s Creek” (2020).

However, it was Kevin’s work on the Hallmark Channel that truly catapulted him to fame. He has appeared in numerous Hallmark productions over the years, starting with a supporting role in the romantic drama film “Signed, Sealed, Delivered: From Paris with Love” (2015). Two years later, he played the male lead opposite Jana Kramer, in the romantic comedy “Love at First Bark”, which he followed up with starring roles in Hallmark movies, such as “A Song for Christmas” (2017), and “Winter Love Story” (2019).
