Who is David Wehner?
David ‘Dave’ Wehner was born in the USA, in 1968, and although he hasn’t spoken of the exact place and date of his birth, it’s believed that it was in Missouri, that his zodiac sign’s Aries, and he holds American nationality. He’s a physicist, chemist and finance expert, while he’s probably known best for the work which he’s done as chief financial officer (CFO) at Facebook, Inc.
Early life and education
David was apparently raised in Missouri by his parents, as the Saint Louis Priory School which he attended is located there; he hasn’t shared a lot about his mother and father as he respects their privacy, but it’s believed that they were both involved in the real estate business. David hasn’t spoken of having any siblings, and it’s thus widely believed that he’s an only child.
He was interested in a couple of activities while attending Saint Luis Priory, including acting and playing sports, while it was math and chemistry that David enjoyed the most. He matriculated in 1986, and continued his education at Georgetown University in Washington, D.C., from which he graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in chemistry in 1990.
During his time at Georgetown, David was an editor of the university’s student newspaper “The Hoya”, and a researcher for the US Naval Research Laboratory for his final two years there.
He went on to attend Stanford University, graduating with a Master of Science degree in applied physics.
David’s career
David launched his career upon receiving his Master’s degree in 1993, having been hired to work at the global consulting Monitor Company; he advised a wide range of clients during his four years there, most of whom were from the US, with some from Europe and Asia.
The year 1997 saw him become an equity research analyst at Hambrecht & Quist, a job which he held until 1999, then became vice president of corporate development at BigVine/AllBusiness.

From 1999 to 2010, David worked at the investment banking firm Allen & Company as their managing director, a job for which he moved to New York City. Some of his obligations included advising on mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance, and principal investing; he was also a board member of StubHub, Inc. from 2003 to 2007, working two jobs simultaneously for those four years.
He began attracting even more attention in 2010, when he was hired to work at the company Zynga, Inc. which publishes computer games, perhaps known best for its “Zynga Poker” found on Facebook; David spent 2.5 years as their CFO before joining Facebook, Inc., as their vice president of business planning and corporate finance.
David held the position at Facebook, Inc. from November 2012 to May 2014, and then became their CFO on 1 June 2014, having replaced American businessman and now CEO of Lyra Health David Ebersman; he’s since been working the same job, which is to be credited with the rise of his net worth.

The #1 video “Facebook CFO: ‘We had a steep decline in ad revenue in March” was uploaded by CNBC Television on 29 April 2020, and has since been viewed close to 7,000 times; it features David talking about how much money Facebook earned from ad revenues in March 2020.
The second most popular video “Meta had growth in daily active users in each region except Europe, due to war” was uploaded by CNBC Television on 27 April 2022, and has since been viewed close to 3,000 times; it shows him explaining how Facebook’s Meta failed to turn successful in Europe, because of the war in Ukraine.

Love life and wife
David prefers to keep the details of his love life away from the media’s attention, and hasn’t spoken of any men or women whom he’s perhaps been with, which is mostly why there are today various rumors circulating the internet, concerning both his current marital status and sexual orientation.
Many of David’s fans believe that the successful physicist and finance expert is married to a non-celebrity American woman, and that they don’t have children together; he’s been spotted spending time with a woman who’s believed to be his wife on a number of occasions, but David’s yet to address these rumors.
There are also those who believe that he’s gay, and this to be the reason behind him not sharing the details of his love life; this also remains unconfirmed.
As of August 2022, David seems to be single, although he might be married, but doesn’t have children.
Hobbies and other interests
Although working at Facebook, David’s not a big fan of social media networks; he doesn’t have an Instagram account, and while he launched his Twitter account in March 2008, David’s only tweeted 60 times.
Travelling is perhaps one of his favorite hobbies, and his career’s taken him all around the world, while he’s vacationed in various European and Asian countries, with his dream travel destination being Oslo, Norway.
David’s a lover of animals and has donated money to a couple of animal shelters, as well as to several charity organizations working with underprivileged children.
He enjoys watching movies late at night, and his favorite actor and actress are Jim Carrey and Kate Winslet, while some of his favorite films include “The Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind”, “Bruce Almighty” and “Liar Liar”.

David’s age is either 53 or 54. He has short brown hair and brown eyes, his height is 5ft 7ins (1.7m) and he weighs around 155lbs (60kgs).
As of August 2022, his net worth’s been estimated at over $100 million.
