The American actor and former professional baseball player, Stephen Bishop, has appeared in over 50 TV shows and films, and is perhaps best known for his performance in the biographical sports movie “Moneyball.”

Age, Early life, and Education Background

Stephen C. Bishop hails from Chicago, Illinois USA, and was born under the Virgo zodiac sign on 14 September 1971, which makes him 51 years old as of 2022. He has remained tight-lipped about his parents’ names – however, it’s widely known that his mother was a model, and his father was an American Football star. He developed an interest in baseball and football after his family relocated to Northern California.

After he graduated, Bishop signed a contract with the Atlanta Braves baseball team, which saw him playing in Pioneer Baseball League for year. He later joined Sioux Falls Canaries, and competed in Northern League before he transferred to the Minor League team, St. Paul Saints. 1996 saw Stephen joining High Desert Mavericks and finally the Baltimore Orioles before he retired to focus on his acting career.

Bishop landed his first film role as Tyrell in the 2003 family drama “Pitcher and Pin-Up”, and his praised performance saw him next cast as Knappmiller in the well-received Peter Berg-directed action-comedy “The Rundown” in the same year, sharing the screen with Dwayne Johnson, Christopher Walken and Seann William Scott. He appeared in three more films between 2004 – 2006, before he landed the role of ER Doctor in the acclaimed film “Hancock,” which starred Will Smith, Jason Bateman and Charlize Theron in 2008.

He was later cast as Patrick Campbell – and other characters – in the crime drama “Imposters,” which aired on Bravo between February 2017 and June 2018. From 2018 to 2020, he played Andrew Mendoza in the acclaimed CBS and AXN mystery “Criminal Minds.”
