Sydney Watson Wiki: Age, Childhood, and Education

Sydney Watson was born on 25 June 1990 in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, the daughter of an American mother and an Australian father. She lived in Sydney for the better part of her life, but after completing her studies, Sydney moved to the US and settled in Texas.

Raised in a conservative household, she has told the world that her parents are the ones responsible for her right-wing political affiliation.

After high school, Sydney enrolled at the University of Melbourne, from which she obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Criminology, and returned to the same university to get a Master’s degree in Journalism in 2018.

Career Beginnings

During her last year of studies, Sydney attracted national attention after she fought for the preservation of the popular Facebook group “Hotties of Melbourne University”. A petition was launched to remove the group, and while some thought the group was sexist, Sydney and her colleague Gianne said that the group was flattering, and was created as just a bit of fun.

After she got into the media, Sydney started a YouTube channel, thinking she should share her views on important social and political issues.

In her first video, “THE #METOO MOVEMENT HAS RUINED WORKPLACES”, Sydney talks about how the entire movement has been a joke since its start, and the consequences it has created. She continued making new videos, speaking about gun laws in the US and Australia, and the conflicts in South Africa – Sydney started getting both hate mail and support comments.

Rise to Prominence

Her somewhat controversial stances on popular opinions and social issues have garnered her desired attention.

As she became more popular, Sydney started covering more topics, such as the wage gap. At the same time, she also began discussing some personal issues, including the one time she was detained at the Los Angeles airport, LAX, and questioned by the FBI.

She has gained international attention because of her anti-feminist stance, and has defended men in several instances. However, she has also bashed transexual men for giving birth, getting pregnant, and feeding their children.

As she gained popularity, and the number of her subscribers began to increase, she started attracting various sponsors for her videos, encouraging her to further her career.

During the COVID-19 lockdown, Sydney became even more popular because of her anti-globalist view on vaccination. She opposed government restrictions, reaching ultimate popularity with the anti-vaccination community within Australia, but also throughout the world.

The conservative political commentator now has over 750,000 subscribers, while her videos have been viewed more than 65 million times.

Some of her most popular videos include “Forcing kids to transition: two horrific cases that EVERYONE needs to know”, in which she tells the story about children who were forced by their parents to start thinking about changing gender in their early years, and which now has around two million views. Then “Skinny girl reacts to THIN PRIVILEGE (how is this a thing?)”, in which she’s talked about women who are clearly struggling with obesity, and doing nothing about it but calling themselves plus-size models, and which also has around two million views. The video “The lie of female empowerment”, has approximately 1.5 million views, followed by “4 REASONS WHY FEMINISM IS FULL OF HYPOCRISY”, with 1.4 million views, and “Apparently men being helpful is sexist now”, with 1.3 million views, in which she discussed sexism towards women..

Since launching her career, Sydney has collaborated with several YouTubers and journalists, such as Tim cast IRL, Zuby, Daisy Cousens, Rebel News, and others. Moreover, she’s appeared several times in the podcast “Australia Overnight” hosted by Luke Grant in 2021.

Criticism and Consequences

Her right wing-bias commentaries have come across a ton of criticism by feminists, left-wing liberals, and others who don’t share her opinion. She receives hate comments on every video that she’s uploaded to date, but this hasn’t stopped her in her mission to share her opinion.

However, Sydney has suffered a few consequences because of her unpopular opinions. Some of these include a permanent ban from Patreon, and also removing her website countless times, demonetizing some YouTube videos that she’s uploaded over the years in which she deals with sensitive topics, and others.

Despite these actions against her, Sydney is still actively uploading videos, and one of her most recent videos, “The failure of feminist Hollywood”, already has more than 1.1 million views.
