His name is Kurt Yue, he was born in Beijing, China, on 18 August 19870 under the zodiac sign of Leo. Kurt is a director, writer, and an actor with 65 credits to his name, and is perhaps known best for his roles in “Black Widow” and “Cobra Kai”, popular Netflix series.

Early life and education

Although born in Beijing, when he was four years old, Kurt moved with his parents to the USA, first to Iowa, then Arizona, before settling in Ohio, where Kurt spent most of his childhood.

Unlike many actors, Kurt hadn’t dreamed about becoming an actor; he had an interest in math and computers, and the only acting experience that he had was when he played a horse in a school play.

Kurt attended a local high school, and upon matriculating in 2004, enrolled at Cleveland State University, from which he graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and Engineering in 2008.

Kurt then launched his career as a software developer at a Fortune 500 Company, in Cleveland, and as he said, he was satisfied with his life and career. One Saturday night, Kurt was hanging out with his friends, and when walking back to their cars, he noticed an ad in a storefront. The Houde School of Acting was looking for new students, and since Kurt was looking for some hobby to have after work, he applied.

However, although he thought this would just be something fun to do after work, this decision changed his life, and a year after his first class, he signed with a talent agency and started auditioning. In 2014, he quit his job, and two years later moved to Atlanta, Georgia to pursue his acting career.

Roles in movies

Kurt made his acting debut portraying Chris in the short movie “Spellfound” in 2010, followed by minor roles in “Won’t Back Down” and “Slap Happy” in 2013, before he was cast to play Fireman in “The Bye Bye Man”.

The same year, he was seen as Fake Dad in the comedy “Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Long Haul”, which was his first Hollywood role, followed by his role as Sushi Chef in “A Bad Moms Christmas”, starring Mila Kunis, Kathryn Hahn, and Kristen Bell before his role as Tom Junior in the comedy drama “Lighten Up, Jack Kopecky”.

In the following year, Kurt had a minor role as Developer in “SuperFly”, and then portrayed Doctor Yuen in “Tag”, followed by his role as Peter Kirk in “Mr. Goody”, which brought him the Actors Award, Los Angeles Honorary Mention Best Ensemble, which he shares with the rest of the cast. In 2019, Kurt acted in the short movie “Mend” before his role as Mr. Zhang in “Beast Beast”, and then he was seen in “Irresistible”, “Greenland”, and “Safety” before 2021, when he was cast to play his most notable role for now, as Ross Lieutenant in “Black Widow” starring Scarlett Johansson, David Harbour and Florence Pugh; the movie had 27 award nominations and won seven.
