Who is Kerri Higuchi?

An actress, writer and director, Kerri Higuchi was born under the zodiac sign of Pisces on 28 February 1971, in Los Angeles, California USA; she holds American nationality although she comes from a family of Japanese descent. Kerri is perhaps known best for her role as Doctor Elizabeth Chen in the series “Grey’s Anatomy” but is also known as the wife of the famous “Harold and Kumar” actor, John Cho.

Early life and education

Kerri was raised in Silver Lake, Los Angeles, by her parents Charlotte and Day Higuchi; her father was born in Japan but moved with his family to the US when he was a toddler.

Kerri had an interest in acting From an early age, play with her dolls to make theatre scenes in her room. Her parents supported her dream, and took her to acting classes during her childhood. They had only one condition – she must have good grades and earn a degree from college.

In the crime thriller drama “Enough” starring Jennifer Lopez, Billy Campbell, and Tessa Allen, Keri had a minor role as the Ticket Clerkm before her recurring and most notable role as Doctor Elizabeth Chen in “Grey’s Anatomy”, from 2005 to 2010.

This romantic drama which follows the story of the personal and professional lives of the hospital staff centered on the five surgical interns and their supervisors, was created by Shonda Rhimes, had 239 award nominations and won 83, including four Primetime Emmys.

In the following years, Kerri was seen in an episode or two of various series, such as “Without a Trace”, “Flashforward”, and “Selfie”, among others.

In 2015, she was cast to play Carrie in “Battle Creek”, and in the same year made her last television appearance as Nervous Female Librarian in the series “Scandal”, which was also created by Shonda Rhimes.
