Daidus was born in the USA on 23 May 1999 – his zodiac sign is Gemini, he holds American nationality, and is of Chinese, Cambodian, Lithuanian and Irish descent. He hasn’t shared his real name with the public, and there are some rumors circulating the internet, claiming that ‘Daidus’ is indeed his first name.
He’s a YouTuber and a social media star, who’s perhaps known best for his eponymous YouTube channel, which he launched on 1 November 2015, but didn’t upload his first video – “How it Feels to be Half Asian” – until 15 August 2016. Daidus’ channel’s today subscribed to by more than 1.5 million people, and numbers over 80 million views of all his videos combined.
He’s mostly focused on uploading his own animated videos, while Daidus draws both anime and cartoon style.

Daidus was raised in the USA by his parents, but nothing is known about them, because Daidus respects their privacy; he hasn’t spoken of having any siblings, so is believed to be an only child.
He became interested in drawing at a very early age, and after his parents noticed his talent, they convinced him to take on drawing lessons at his elementary school. Daidus was bullied at both elementary and later high school because, as he calls it, he’s ‘half Asian’; he found comfort in drawing and playing video games, and eventually in his YouTube channel.

His #1 video “My Super HOT English Teacher (Animation)” has been viewed over 9.1 million times since 15 September 2017, and follows a boy who has fallen in love with his hot high school teacher.
Daidus’ second most popular video “I Animate My Sleep Paralysis Experience” has been watched over 7.2 million times since 26 October 2017, and as the title explains, shows the creatures and events which Daidus saw when experiencing sleep paralysis; it’s a temporary inability to move your body, that usually occurs just after falling asleep or right before waking up. During this time, people experience hallucinations, while some feel as if they’re suffocating.
His third most watched video – “How An Art Girl Confesses (Animation)” – has been viewed close to six million times since 23 February 2019, and shows how art girls confess that they are in love.

Daidus is quite active on Instagram, and is today followed by more than 210,000 people, while he’s uploaded over 240 pictures onto the network.
These reveal a lot about himself, including that he’s a big fan of animes, with a couple of his favorites being “Cowboy Bebop”, “Death Note” and “Fullmetal Alchemist: The Brotherhood”.
Daidus has also revealed that he’s a huge fan of animals, with his favorites being dogs.

Daidus prefers to keep the details of his love life to himself, however, it appears that the popular YouTuber is today in a relationship.
Back on 1 April (April Fool’s Day) 2020, the popular YouTuber Emirichu uploaded a picture onto the internet which featured her and Daidus’ anime characters kissing; most people believed that she was joking, because it was uploaded on 1 April, however, Emirichu later revealed that she and Daidus were indeed dating. She’s today more popular on YouTube than Daidus, as there are close to three million people subscribed to her channel; she uploads similar content to Daidus’.
There are some rumors circulating the internet claiming that Daidus and Emirichu have recently broken-up, but these haven’t been confirmed.
As of October 2021, Daidus has been in a relationship with Emirichu for more than a year; he hasn’t married and doesn’t have children.
Hobbies and other interests
Daidus also enjoys watching Hollywood movies in his spare time (although he prefers Japanese films), and his favorite actor and actress are Leonardo DiCaprio and Amanda Seyfried, while a couple of his favorite films include “Titanic”, “Shutter Island” and “Inception”.
