Michael made his acting debut in 1984, in the movie “Racing with the Moon”, although his role was uncredited; in the same year, he was cast to play Jake in “Sixteen Candles” acting alongside Molly Ringwald, Justin Henry and Anthony Michael Hall in this romantic comedy, written and directed by John Hughes.
