The same year she joined the cast of the TV comedy series “Bachelor Father” in the role of Kitty Marsh, co-starring John Forsythe and Sammee Tong. She appeared in 16 episodes until 1961, then continued with tremendous success into the ‘60s.
In 1964, she portrayed Madame Mijanou in the drama musical “Roustabout” with Elvis Presley in the lead role, while in 1965, she starred with Glenn Ford and Henry Fonda in the comedy-western film “The Rounders” based on the novel by Max Evans.

Rise to Stardom
Sue Ane was slowly making improvements as an actress, and in 1966 she co-starred next to Elvis Presley in the romantic-comedy film “Frankie & Johnny”. The following year, Sue Ane starred with Walter Matthau and Inger Stevens in the romantic comedy film “A Guide for the Married Man”, about a man who teaches his friend a few lessons on how to cheat on his wife without getting caught. In 1968, she starred in the action-thriller film “A Man Called Dagger”, alongside Terry Moore and Jan Murray.
She began the ‘70s with the role of Opal Ann in Gene Kelly’s directed western “The Cheyenne Social Club”, starring James Stewart, Henry Fonda and Shirley Jones.
The same year, she was chosen as the star of the comedy series “Arnie”, playing the wife, Lillian Nuvo, of the titular character, who is a high-level manager in the loading dock business. He passed away on 27 April 2010 at 90 years of age; the two didn’t have children together.
