Who is Linda Kozlowski?
Linda was born in Fairfield, Connecticut USA, on 7 January 1958 – her zodiac sign is Capricorn, she holds American nationality, and is of Polish descent. She’s a retired actress, with 13 credits to her name, while she’s perhaps still known best for her portrayal of one of the lead characters Sue Charlton in the 1986 action adventure comedy movie “Crocodile Dundee”, directed by Peter Faiman, and which also starred Paul Hogan and John Meillon. It follows an American reporter who’s travelled to Australia to meet a crocodile poacher, and to invite him to New York City; the movie won three of the 12 awards for which it was nominated, including an Oscar nomination for Best Writing, Screenplay Written Directly for the Screen.

Early life and education
Linda was raised in Fairfield by her father Stanley M. Kozlowski and mother Helen E. (nee Helena Parniawska); not a lot is known about her family, as she respects their privacy, while it’s said that her father was a pianist, and her mother a dancer. Because Linda hasn’t mentioned having any siblings, it’s widely believed that she’s an only child.
She became interested in acting while attending Andrew Warde High School, appearing in many plays performed at the school; Linda was also into a couple of other activities during her teenage years, as she practiced dancing and played several sports.
Upon matriculating in 1976, she enrolled at the prestigious Juilliard School in New York, graduating with a Bachelor’s degree in 1980.
Roles in TV series
Linda appeared in a couple of theatre plays prior to launching her career on TV, such as the off-Broadway production “How It All Began” in 1981, and later in the Broadway play “Death of a Salesman” in 1984.
She made her debut TV series appearance in the 1982 episode “On the Line” of the drama “Nurse”, created by Sue Grafton, and which starred Michael Learned, Robert Reed and Hattie Winston. It follows a supervising nurse working at Grand Memorial Hospital, who’s learning to live without her husband who’s passed away; the series won two awards, including a Primetime Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series (Michael Learned).
Linda appeared in only one other TV series during her short career in the film industry: she played Sally Crain in the 1988 episode “Part One” of the action thriller mini-series “Favorite Son”. It starred Harry Hamlin, Tony Goldwyn and Lynnette Mettey, and follows an investigator who’s learned that the shooting of a vice presidential candidate’s part of a large conspiracy, and that the current President’s staff is involved, as they’re ready to do whatever it takes to have him re-elected; the mini-series was nominated for two awards.

Roles in movies
Linda made her debut film appearance in the 1985 drama “Death of a Salesman”, directed by Volker Schlondorff, and which starred Dustin Hoffman, Kate Reid and John Malkovich. It follows an old travelling salesman who’s realized that he’s lonely, and is trying to change this; the movie won 10 awards, including three Primetime Emmys, while it was nominated for 11 other awards.
A couple of Linda’s following roles were in the 1987 comedy drama “Pass the Ammo”, the 1988 action adventure comedy “Crocodile Dundee II”, and the 1990 comedy drama “Almost an Angel”.
She played Jill McGowan, one of the main characters in the 1995 science fiction horror thriller “Village of the Damned”, written by John Carpenter, and which also starred Christopher Reeve and Kirstie Alley. It follows several women from a small town who’ve given birth to aliens, which are now posing as humans; the movie was nominated for three awards.
Two of Linda’s final roles were in the 1996 western “Shaughnessy” and the 2001 action adventure comedy “Crocodile Dundee in Los Angeles”.

Linda was nominated for a 1987 Golden Globe for Best Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role in a Motion Picture, for “Crocodile Dundee”, and a 1988 Bravo Otto Germany Award for Best Actress (Schauspielerin).
Why did she leave acting?
Linda’s revealed that she retired from acting because she was dissatisfied with the roles that she was playing, as well as because her biological clock was ticking.
Love life and husband
Linda met Australian actor and comedian Paul Hogan while they were starring alongside in the 1986 movie “Crocodile Dundee”, and they began dating during the shooting of the second movie “Crocodile Dundee II” in 1988. The two exchanged vows on 5 May 1990, in a private ceremony attended by some of their closest friends and family members; they had to wait to marry, until Paul had divorced his former wife Noelene.
The two tried living in Australia, but moved to Los Angeles, California in the second half of the ‘90s. They have a son Chance together.
In October 2013, Linda filed for divorce, which was then finalized on 23 July 2014.
Since 2017, she’s been married to non-celebrity Moulay Hafid Baba, although there are today rumors circulating the internet, claiming that they’ve divorced.
Linda hasn’t mentioned any other men whom she’s perhaps been with, and as of August 2022, she seems to be married to her second husband Moulay Hafid Baba, and has a son with her first husband Paul Hogan.

Linda was physically highly active in her 20s and 30s, as she had multiple training sessions at the gym every week, mostly because it was important for her acting career to stay in shape; she’s still following a strict diet, meaning that she avoids eating fast food and sweets.
Linda’s a philanthropist, and has donated quite an amount of money to charity, mostly to organizations which aim to improve the quality of life for underprivileged children.
She’s a huge lover of animals, with dogs and cats being her favorites.
Linda likes to read books – her favorite author is Herman Hesse, while her favorite book is “The Alchemist”.
