Kelly’s first steps into the acting world were taken in 1962, when she appeared in the TV comedy series “The New Loretta Young Show”, in which she portrayed the character named Teedee Doley. The show follows a woman named Christine Massey, portrayed by Loretta Young, and her life as a freelance writer in suburban Connecticut, while trying to raise her seven children alone as a widow.
