Manny Montana was born on 26 September 1983, in Long Beach, California USA. Both of his parents are Mexican – his mother is Martha Aldrette, but her occupation isn’t known to the public. After matriculating from Jordan High School in Long Beach, Montana enrolled at California State University, Sacramento on a football scholarship. Even though he was a great player, he had to quit university due to an arm injury. At that point, he’d dislocated his shoulder for the eighth time, forcing him to choose a different career path. Manny transferred to California State University, Long Beach to continue his studies in the faculty of Journalism and Broadcasting, graduating in 2006.
After working as a DJ at the university’s student radio station, Manny interned at Power 100.3, but didn’t continue his career in broadcasting, instead becoming an actor.

At the beginning of his career, Montana mainly acted in student films, but as he matured as an actor, he started auditioning for more serious projects. In 2008, he starred in multiple films, including “El Primo”, “East L.A.”, and “Sanctuary”, and during the same year, he landed episodic roles in the TV shows “ER” and “Eleventh Hour”.
In 2009, he appeared in the single episodes of several TV series: “Terminator: The Sarah Conor Chronicles”, “Raising the Bar”, and “Cold Case”. He also continued appearing in short movies, and landed a couple more episodic roles.

Manny’s big break was the TV series “Graceland”, in which he was part of the main cast, playing the role of FBI agent Joe “Johnny” Tuturro. The show aired on the USA Network in 2013, and was canceled in 2015 after three seasons.
Montana continued his television career by landing a role in the legal drama series “Conviction”, portraying an ex-con named Franklin “Frankie” Cruz, who worked for the Conviction Integrity Unit as a forensic technician. After one season and 13 episodes, the series was canceled by the ABC network.
Manny landed another big role in 2018, when he was cast for the crime-comedy drama television series “Good Girls”, portraying a high-ranking criminal named Christopher, also known as Rio.
