Prior to becoming an actor, David Caruso worked as a cinema usher, launching his acting career in 1976, when he made his debut TV appearance as a bellboy in an episode of the ABC soap opera “Ryan’s Hope”, but it went uncredited. His debut feature film role came four years later, when he starred as Danny in the 1980 comedy “Getting Wasted”, directed by Paul Frizler.
