Rebecca De Mornay is a famous American film producer, director and actress, perhaps known best for her roles in the films “Risky Business,” “Beauty and the Beast” and “Runaway Train”.
Age, Early Life, and Education Background
Mornay was born Rebecca Jane Pearch in Santa Rosa, California, under the Virgo zodiac sign on 29 August 1959 – which makes her 63 years old as of 2022 – to parents Julie Eager and Wally George, who was a disc jockey and TV and radio commentator. Her parents divorced when she was two years old, but Julie later married Richard De Mornay and Rebecca adopted her stepfather’s name when she was five. Film Appearances
Rebecca made her film debut in 1981, in the Francis Ford Coppola-written and directed romantic drama “One from the Heart,” which starred Teri Garr, Raul Julia and Frederic Forrest; the film was nominated for several awards including an Oscars. Two years later, she was cast together with Tom Cruise in the film “Risky Business”, and then in the sci-fi film “Testament.” 1985 saw Rebecca landing a role in the comedy “The Slugger’s Wife”, and in 1988, she starred as DeWitt in the Daniel Goldberg-directed crime film “Feds”

In 1982, she met the celebrated American actor, Tom Cruise on the set of the teen comedy film “Risky Business” and they dated for three years. She was also in brief relationships with actors Toby Emmerich and Jon Voight.
Mornay met and began dating the American novelist Bruce Wagner year after breaking up from Tom Cruise in 1986, and they eventually tied the knot on 16 December that year. Sadly, the duo ended their marriage in 1990 following a misunderstanding. Rebecca was later engaged to the Canadian singer-songwriter, painter, and poet Leonard Cohen but their relationship was also short-lived. She had previously said, ‘Leonard Cohen was one of the greatest poets, but for me, he was also one of the most important people in my life, and losing him is like losing a limb.’
