Who is FouseyTube?

Yousef Saleh Erakat was born in Fremont, California USA, on 22 January 1990 – his zodiac sign is Aquarius, and he holds American nationality. Professionally, He’s a YouTuber and a social media star, who’s perhaps known best for his YouTube channel “FouseyTube” (no longer his main channel, but still his online name), which he launched on 21 March 2011; it’s today subscribed to by more than 10 million people, and numbers over 1.7 billion views of all his videos combined. FouseyTube had uploaded diverse content onto this channel, also onto his two new channels, most featuring him reviewing various products, pulling pranks, and doing challenges.

Early life and education

FouseyTube was raised in Fremont alongside his older brothers Ahmad and Mohammad, and his older sister Noura, by their Palestinian parents, about whom nothing’s known, as FouseyTube respects their privacy. His sister is today an activist and a college professor.

FouseyTube became interested in playing sports upon enrolling at a local high school, and excelled in basketball and football. He became interested in fitness when he was around 16 years old, and prior to launching his channel “FouseyTube”, he had several others onto which he had uploaded fitness videos.

Upon matriculating in 2008, FouseyTube enrolled at San Jose State University, from which he graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in theatre arts in 2012; he then moved to Los Angeles in California, wanting to pursue an acting career, but eventually focused on his career on the internet.

His #1 video “SPIDERMAN IN REAL LIFE PRANK!” has been watched over 170 million times since 4 May 2014, and features him interviewing children, while his friend pretends to be a real-life Spiderman.

His #2 most popular video “MORTAL KOMBAT ELEVATOR PRANK!” has been watched more than 130 million times since 14 September 2014, and features FouseyTube dressed up as a character from the video game “Mortal Combat”, while he’s trying to attack people in an elevator.

FouseyTube’s third most popular video “HAPPY ENDING MASSAGE PRANK!” has been viewed over 120 million times since 23 November 2015, and features him pulling a prank on his friend, by having a guy give him a massage instead of a girl.

Other YouTube channels

He launched his second YouTube channel – “FOUSEY” – on 23 August 2013, and it’s today his main channel, as h’s entirely stopped uploading videos onto the channel “FouseyTube”. “FOUSEY” is today subscribed to by over 250,000 people, and numbers over 22 million views of all his videos combined; content uploaded is the same as on his other channels, and his most watched video “Bryce Hall VS. Stromedy Full Fight Night! *The Winner IS….*” has been watched over 1.6 million times since 9 April 2021, and features the boxing match between the YouTubers Stromedy and Bryce Hall.

His third channel is “DOSEofFOUSEY”; it was launched on 29 January 2014, and today numbers close to 3.5 million subscribers, and over 800,000 views of all his 22 videos combined. The channel’s most popular video – “Ryan Johnston VS Nick Ireland! (FULL CHAMPIONSHIP BOXING MATCH)” – has been watched close to 150,000 times since 28 April 2021, and features the boxing match between the social media stars Nick Ireland and Ryan Johnston.

FouseyTube is highly active on Instagram too, and is today followed by more than 4.4 million people, while he’s uploaded close to 150 pictures and videos, most of which have been taken during his everyday life.

He launched his Twitter account in July 2010, and has amassed over a million followers, and tweeted nearly 750 times, mostly writing to announce the upload of his new YouTube videos.

FouseyTube has just recently launched his TikTok account, and it’s thus followed by only 50 people, and numbers 60 likes of both videos combined.

Acting credits

FouseyTube made his acting debut with his voicing of Emperor in the 2009 episode “Black Monday” of the animated action adventure series “The Secret Saturdays”, and the following year saw him appear in the episode “Best Dance Crew” of the comedy “NigaHiga”.

In 2013, he starred in the episode “STORY TIME 4!” of the comedy “DashieXP”, and in the following year, FouseyTube was cast to play Trevor in the episode “Twin Blocked” of the comedy “Double Trouble”.

He then starred in the 2015 short film “Change the Way You Think”, and in 2016 portrayed Jonathan in the horror comedy movie “Boo! A Madea Halloween”, written and directed by Tyler Perry, who also starred in it alongside Cassi Davis and Patrice Lovely. It follows Madea who’s simultaneously taking care of her teenage great-niece, and is fighting off ghosts and zombies during Halloween; the movie was nominated for six awards.

FouseyTube has been nominated for four Streamy Awards, winning two: one in 2015, for Audience Choice Best Show of the Year, and the other in the following year, for Audience Choice Entertainer of the Year.

FouseyTube is more or less secretive when it comes to his love life, but has still allowed his fans to have a glimpse into it. He was in a relationship with Alycia Tyre, an Instagram star who’s followed by more than 1.7 million people on the network, while it’s believed by many that it was her relationship with FouseyTube that helped her become popular on the internet.

In 2015, FouseyTube was in a relationship with Lilly Singh, a fellow YouTuber whose channel is subscribed to by close to 15 million people. It’s widely known that FouseyTube is struggling with depression, anxiety and bipolar disorder, and most of his fans believe that this is what contributed to his break-up from both Alycia and Lilly.

As of October 2021, FouseyTube appears to be single, hasn’t married, and doesn’t have children.

Boxing and other hobbies

FouseyTube’s main hobby is boxing, which he took-up sometime in the mid-2010s. He fought his first fight on 29 September 2019, and lost by a technical knockout in the fourth round to Slim Albaher; FouseyTube then stated that he was humiliated, and that he wouldn’t be fighting again. His nose was broken during the fight, and he had to undergo surgery. He’s been a boxing promoter since February 2021, and still practices the sport, but refuses to fight.

He’s a fan of tattoos, and has several – his entire right arm is covered in them.

FouseyTube is keen on travelling, and has been to various US states for both work and pleasure. He has also been to a couple of European and Asian countries; his dream travel destination is Miami in Florida.
