Who is Cody Martin?
Cody Lee Martin was born in Winston-Salem, North Carolina USA, on 28 September 1995 – his zodiac sign is Libra, and he holds American nationality. He’s a professional basketball player, known best for the time he’s spent playing in the National Basketball Association (NBA) with the Charlotte Hornets; he’s also known for being the twin brother of American professional basketball player Caleb Martin.
Early life and education
Cody was raised in Winston-Salem alongside his twin brother, by their mother Jenny Bennett who worked various jobs to financially support the family; not a lot is known about Cody’s father, and it’s believed that he wasn’t around while Cody and Caleb were growing up.
Cody became interested in playing basketball while still attending a local elementary school, and he and his brother then went on to practice by playing against each other nearly every day. They both studied at Davie County High School in Mocksville, North Carolina and played for the school’s basketball team for three years, prior to transferring together to Oak Hill Academy.
Upon matriculating in 2014, Cody and Caleb both received scholarships offers from Providence College, Rutgers University and North Carolina State University, and they chose to enroll together at North Carolina.
Cody’s career
Cody averaged six points and 4.4 rebounds during his sophomore year at North Carolina, but because he and his brother were dissatisfied with the college, they both transferred to the University of Nevada, Reno in 2017. Cody was redshirted for the first season, while the following season saw him named Mountain West Conference Defensive Player of the Year.
Cody and his brother made themselves eligible for the 2018 NBA draft when they revealed their plans to quit college, but because they didn’t hire an agent, they still had an option to stay at Nevada; they both eventually chose to remain at college for their senior year, and Cody graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in 2019.

Cody began playing for the Greensboro Swarm on 29 November 2019, a Hornets’ NBA G League affiliate.
Love life and relationships
Cody prefers not to share the details of his love life with his fans, which is perhaps why there are today various rumors circulating the internet concerning the girls whom Cody might have been with, as well as his sexual orientation.
Some of Cody’s fans believe that he’s gay, claiming that this is why he avoids talking about the women whom he’s been with; a fan’s even claimed to have seen Cody spending time in public with his boyfriend, but no evidence has been provided to support these claims, nor has Cody addressed the matter.
There are also those who think that he’s today in a long-term relationship with his high school sweetheart, but that he prefers to keep her away from media; this hasn’t been confirmed either.
As of July 2022, Cody seems to be single, hasn’t married and doesn’t have children.
