Most recently, Tory was seen in the 2019 two-times Oscar-nominated biographic drama “Harriet”, an extraordinary story about Harriet Tubman and her journey escaping slavery and heroically assisting others in an act that changed history. The movie had 54 award nominations, including two Oscars- Best Achievement in Music Written for Motion Pictures (Original Song), and Best Performance by an Actress in a Leading Role (Cynthia Erivo), and won 21.
