Jessica hasn’t been focused on her own professional career, though she also played several sports in her youth like her husband, including softball, which is a variant of baseball. However, she has been focused on other interests, such as philanthropy. Since acquiring world fame, Jessica has worked with a number of charitable organizations, including those that support cancer research. She has organized numerous fundraisers in which she would offer her husband’s memorabilia to help the funding.

Jessica and Kris are high school sweethearts. The two started dating when they were 15 years old and continued throughout high school, then surviving time apart while studying at different universities.

Born Kristopher Lee Bryant on 4 January 1992 in Las Vegas, the son of Mike Bryant and his wife Sue.
His father played baseball in minor leagues but never reached the stardom his son now enjoys. However, this encouraged young Kris to pursue baseball ,and his father sold a patio furniture store he owned, in order to get a job that permitted him to coach his son.
He went to Bonanza High School in Las Vegas, during which he played for the high school baseball team, and recorded a .418 batting average, a .958 slugging percentage (SLG), 103 hits, and 47 career home runs.
After high school, he was chosen by the Toronto Blue Jays in the 18th round of the 2010 Major League Baseball (MLB) draft, however, he opted not to sign with the team, and instead enrolled at the University of San Diego, where he played baseball for the San Diego Toreros baseball team.
During his college career, Bryant showcased his talents and set several major results, which won him a few awards. He had the most home runs hit by a college player since the NCAA switched to a BBCOR composite bat in 2011, breaking the previous record of 30, which was posted by Victor Roache, who played for Georgia South. He was awarded the Golden Spikes Award and the Dick Howser Trophy, given to the top collegiate player in the nation.
Moreover, Kris was named a Louisville Slugger First Team All-American, the Collegiate Baseball Player of the Year, and the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) Player of the Year.
He declared for the 2013 Major League Baseball draft, and was selected by the Chicago Cubs as the second overall pick. Before he reached the major league, Bryant played for several minor league clubs. He started his professional career as the batter for the Boise Hawks of the Class A-Short Season Northwest League.
After posting .354 with four home runs, he was promoted to the Daytona Cubs of the Class A-Advanced Florida State League on August 12. He hit .333 with five home runs, and he started the next year with the Tennessee Smokies of the Class AA Southern League.

In 2015 he was named for his first All-Star Appearance, while in 2016 he led his team to the World Series, in which they defeated the Cleveland Indians 4-3. On the way to the world championship, Kris was named the NL MVP, thus joining only a few of the chosen players to achieve the same feat. He finished the post-season with a .308 average, three home runs, and eight RBIs.
In 2017 he broke the record with a $1.05 million a year deal with the Cubs for a pre-arbitration player, while in 2018 he signed another contract, this time, worth $10.85 million which was yet another record-breaking signing for a player in his first year of salary arbitration.
Unfortunately, injuries started hindering his performance, and he spent several games out with shoulder inflammation, and his numbers continued to decline in the 2019, 2020 and 2021 seasons, though he still earned All-Star appearances in 2019 and 2021.
