After finishing his studies, Tim Malone started working at NBCUniversal as a production assistant for the “Today Show”, staying this role for a year, then transferring to the sales team of the USA & SYFY networks in 2007. He stayed on the NBCUniversal until 2013, working in the team of Sports and Olympics for five years.
According to Tim’s LinkedIn profile, in 2013 he started working at Billboard, an American music and entertainment magazine, spending three years at the company, occupying the positions of Director and Executive Director.
The final destination of his media career was Jukin Media, where he worked as an Executive Director for less than a year.

In 2018, Tim Malone changed his career path and moved into real estate. He started working at The Corcoran Group, where he spent more than two years. Then Douglas Elliman Real Estate hired him in 2020 and he’s been employed there ever since. Tim Malone met Don Lemon in 2016, and they started dating in the summer of the same year. They hinted at their relationship in 2017, when Don posted their picture on Instagram, depicting the couple on their way to a ’90s theme party. Tim also posted apicture of Don on his social media pages.
Their affection was brought to the public eye once again in 2018, when they shared a kiss during CNN’s New Year celebration. Don and Tim also showed up together at the 28th annual GLAAD Media Awards.
In April 2019, Malone proposed to Lemon with the question written on their dog’s collar: ‘Daddy will you marry papa?’ Don said yes and the couple became engaged.
