Emily Tosta
The talented Emilia Gabriela Attias ‘Emily’ Tosta was born on 26th March 1998 in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, and is of multicultural descent, with a Brazilian-Italian mother named Emilia Tosta and a Lebanese-Dominican father, José Ramón Attias.
The successful movie and TV actress was brought up in Santo Domingo alongside her two older sisters, Gaby and Karla. From a young age, she displayed an interest in singing, dancing, and acting, and was soon signed to a child modelling agency. After doing her first ad campaign for the Dominican magazine A la Moda at just six years old, Emily began taking on more jobs – such as modelling for RD Fashion Week – and making a name for herself in her home country.
Aged eight, Emily landed her first acting role in a local stage production of “Pied Piper of Hamelin”, followed by other musicals and plays such as “The Miracle of Fatima”, “Alice in Wonderland”, and “Annie: The Musical”. Thanks to her talents, she soon became one of the youngest cast members on “Sábado Chiquito” and interviewed famous artists such as Enrique Iglesias and the Jonas Brothers.
In 2010, the brunette and her mother immigrated illegally to Miami so as to further Emily’s flourishing showbiz career. A few years later, the mother-daughter duo and the rest of the family moved to Los Angeles, where the actress signed to The Corsa Agency and began working with Hollywood agent Thomas Richards.
Career
With Thomas’s help, Emily scored her first TV role in the US at the age of 15. At the beginning, however, work was slow: after a guest-starring appearance in an episode of the Telemundo soap opera “Dama y obrero”, it took Emily a whole year until she landed her next job, this time portraying Luisa in an episode of “The Last Ship”.
After a couple of guest-starring appearances in “NCIS: Los Angeles” and “Rosewood”, Emily was cast for her first movie role in Tenney Fairchild’s “Vikes”. Despite the comedy-drama’s low marketing budget and limited theatrical release, it helped open the door for Emily’s first recurring role in “Mayans M.C”.
From 2018 to 2023, Emily played Leticia Cruz in almost two dozen episodes of the “Sons of Anarchy” spin-off, which was set two and a half years after the events of the series. Despite not having as much screen-time as some of her co-stars, Leticia was the daughter of main character Johnny Cruz, and soon became a fan favorite. However, Leticia didn’t exactly have a happy ending, as the last viewers saw of her, she was mourning the gruesome death of her best friend, who committed suicide by walking backwards into traffic and being hit by a semi-truck.
In 2020, Emily also portrayed Lucia Acosta in “Party of Five”, which was her first leading role. The adolescent drama was a reboot of the late-1990s “Party of Five” but didn’t fare as well, being cancelled by Freeform after just ten episodes. Fans of the series were dismayed by its cancellation, which was due to a severe ratings slump as the show went from over 440,000 viewers to 143,000 in a matter of weeks.
Since then, Emily has played Ali in the light-hearted comedy “Selfie Dad” and female protagonist Liv Hawthorne in “Willy’s Wonderland”. According to the actress’s Wikipedia page, she is currently filming for a role in “Tito: Peace of Heaven”, which is directed by Andreina Pérez. However, this information is erroneous, as the short movie was released years ago under the title “Semicolon” and didn’t feature Emily.
Personal Life
Emily was reportedly in a relationship with YouTuber and social media star Crawford Collins from 2015 to 2018. At the time, Crawford had a large fanbase thanks to his comedic Vine videos which had amassed him over one million followers. Despite being photographed together at a couple of Emily’s premieres, the couple preferred to keep some aspects of their relationship private, and both refused to divulge the reasons behind their unexpected break-up.

A couple of years after their split, Crawford began dating fellow content creator Nezza, who was rumored to be one of Emily’s close friends; understandably, the friendship between Nezza and Emily came to an abrupt end when the new relationship became public. Although Crawford is still a public figure with over a million Instagram followers at time of writing, his Vine glory days are long over, with some fans arguing that Emily has become the bigger star of the two.
According to online sources, Emily began dating her “Mayans M.C” co-star Clayton Cardenas sometime in 2020 or 2021. However, many fans of the actress weren’t comfortable with the 13-year age gap (Clayton was born in 1985), and they reportedly broke up after a few months.
It’s also been rumored that Emily had an illicit fling with another “Mayans” co-star, namely J.D Pardo. The model and actor was born in 1980 and has been married for years; however, many “Mayans” fans are to this day unaware of his marital status, as he likes to maintain a professional image and avoids discussing his romantic life in interviews.
Although there is no concrete proof of Emily and J.D ever being together, the actor uploaded a cozy selfie with the brunette shortly after the show’s season one premiere, but later deleted the photo, which some netizens found suspicious. At the time, Emily had a thriving YouTube channel but has since deleted all her videos, perhaps due to the number of comments she received asking whether there was anything inappropriate going on between herself and J.D.
It’s also been said that Emily’s mother, Emilia, wanted her to pursue a relationship with J.D due to him being the leading man of the show, and one of the most famous cast members. ‘She was in a YouTube video on one of her former friends channel [sic],’ one Reddit user wrote in a thread discussing the possible affair. ‘They were pairing each other with celebrities or something, and the other girl randomly said J.D. Pardo, and it got awkward.’
We may never know the whole story, but we can confirm that Emily is currently single and focusing on her next projects following the last season of “Mayans”. The multicultural actress is 5ft 3in (160cm) tall and weighs 117lbs (53kgs).
