Rumors turned out to be true, as Duckett and Jasmine announced their divorce after 10 years of marriage, citing irreconcilable differences.

Jasmine Guy was born on 10 March 1962, in Boston, Massachusetts USA, the daughter of an African-American father and a Portuguese-American mother.
Although born in Boston, she spent her childhood in the historic upper-class Collier Heights neighborhood of Atlanta, Georgia, and went to Northside Performing Arts High School.
Jasmine moved to New York City when she was 17 years old, to study dance at the Alvin Ailey American Dance Center.
She started her acting career with a non-speaking role as Fame Dancer in the TV series “Fame”, featuring in seven episodes of the popular series in 1982, then waited four years for her next role, as Gloria in the TB series “The Equalizer”.
The following year, Jasmine made her big breakthrough with the role of Whitley Gilbert in “The Cosby Show” spin-off entitled “A Different World” (1987-1993), starring in all but one episode of the Primetime Emmy Award-nominated comedy series, which launched her to stardom.
