Who is Sidney Starr?
Famous American transgender actress, model, social media star, YouTuber and TV personality Sidney Starr, was born a male in Chicago, Illinois USA, under the zodiac sign Aquarius on 5 February 1989. She has just seven acting credits, but has appeared in close to 20 TV shows; Sidney’s perhaps known best for having starred in nine episodes (2018-2019) of the reality show “Love and Hip Hop: New York”, which has been airing since 2010, and follows the lives of a group of women from New York City. The show was nominated for a 2018 MTV Movie + TV Award for Best Reality Series/Franchise.

Sidney was raised in Atlanta, Georgia by her parents, who were supportive of her decision to transition from being male to female, however, she doesn’t usually write about her mother and father on the internet because they prefer to be left out of media. Sidney’s believed not to have siblings as she hasn’t talked about having any.
She was only five years old when she started to doubt her gender, believing that she should’ve been born a girl, and was a teenager when she started taking hormone therapy and underwent various surgeries to change her gender. Sidney studied at Bogan High School, and was bullied there because of her transition, but this didn’t stop her from pursuing her dream to become a girl; she was into several activities during her teenage years, as she enjoyed appearing in school plays and playing tennis.
Sidney matriculated in 2007 and because she hasn’t talked about her further education, most of Sidney’s fans believe that she hasn’t attended college.
Acting credits
Sidney’s yet to appear in any movies as she’s been focused on winning roles in TV series since the launch of her acting career in 2017; she was cast to play Dallas in the episode “The Winner Takes It All” of the musical “Star”, created by Tom Donaghy and Lee Daniels, and which starred Ryan Destiny, Brittany O’Grady and Jude Demorest. It follows three women from Atlanta who’ve formed a band, the series aired from 2016 through 2019 and was nominated for seven awards.
The year 2017 also saw Sidney appear in the drama “Hollywood Unlocked with Jason Lee Uncensored”, which starred Melyssa Ford, Jason Lee and Giovanni Watson, and follows the life of social media star Jason Lee.

In 2019, she played Fan in the episode “Cold Cold Man” of the popular musical “Empire”, created by Danny Strong and Lee Daniels, and which starred Jussie Smollett, Terrence Howard and Taraji P. Henson. It follows a wealthy man who has to decide who amongst his three sons will inherit his fortune; the series aired from 2015 through 2020, and won 30 of its 136 award nominations.
The year 2020 saw Sidney play Stripper 1 in the episode “Don’t Wanna Love You” of the romantic comedy “Boomerang”, which Lena Waithe and Ben Cory Jones created, and which starred Leland B. Martin, Tequan Richmond and Tetona Jackson; it follows the lives of two teenagers.
Sidney portrayed Interviewer in the 2021 episode “Candyman” of the hit drama “The Chi”, which Lena Waithe created back in 2018, and which today stars Ntare Guma Mbaho Mwine, Jacob Latimore and Jason Mitchell, and follows a group of residents who’ve become bonded by their need for connection; the series has won five of its 26 award nominations.
In 2022, Sidney played Reality Star in the episode “Kim Smedley” of the crime drama “American Gangster: Trap Queens”, which starred Dwayne Marion Johnson, Danine Manette and Judge Mathis, and follows the lives of some of the most notorious American female criminals.
Sidney’s only other acting credit has been playing a supporting character in the 2022 episode “The Night Is Young” of the series “DejaVu Miami”, which stars Kenzy Denise Pierre and Gucci, and follows the lives of several celebrities.

Some of Sidney’s most recent talk-show appearances have been in “Baddies ATL: The Reunion”, “Baddies South” and “Baddies South: The Reunion”.
Sidney launched her self-titled YouTube channel on 29 February 2020 and it’s today subscribed to by nearly 2,400 people, while she’s shared 23 videos, all of which together number close to 250,000 views. Most of her videos feature her dancing, singing and spending time with friends.

There are today rumors circulating the internet about Sidney having dated various celebrities, including rappers Rich Dollaz, Chingy and Oblock Montanna, but it’s only been confirmed that she was once in a relationship with rapper Chase God Swag; they were also engaged, but broke up without exchanging vows.
It’s recently been rumored that Sidney was in a relationship with famous American actor Darius McCrary as they’ve both shared pictures which feature them together onto their Instagram accounts; both Darius and Sidney have denied these rumors, claiming that they’re only close friends.
