Sam Corlett is an Australian actor, probably best known to the world as Caliban in the TV series “Chilling Adventures of Sabrina” (2020), and as Leif Eriksson in the TV series “Vikings: Valhalla” (2022-2023), in addition to several other roles he’s secured in his career.

Sam Corlett was born on 24 April 1996, in Central Coast, New South Wales, Australia. He is the son of Tim Corlett and his wife Kelly, who are working as a tradesman and a counselor. He has two siblings, a brother named Ben and a sister named Emelia.

After matriculating from a local high school in his hometown, he enrolled at the prestigious Western Australia Academy of Performing Arts. Growing up, he never showed any interest in acting, and in high school was more focused on athletics, as he was playing rugby and basketball, captaining both high school teams. However, this ultimately led him to realize that his passions found their expression through stage and screen.

His parents weren’t entirely supportive of his desire to study acting, but he still got himself into a prestigious academy – during those years, Sam studied acting under Elizabeth Kemp, Les Chantery, Glenda Linscott and Andrew Lewis, before obtaining a Bachelor of Performing Arts in Acting in 2018.

He focused full time on his screen career after obtaining his degree and made his feature debut in 2020 as Young Luke in the award-winning mystery crime-drama film “The Dry”, starring Eric Bana, Genevieve O’Reilly, and Keir O’Donnell, directed by Robert Connolly.
