However, the creative directors decided not to return Zelena for the seventh season of the show, and Rebecca herself claimed that her exit was not a personal choice. Still, she returned for the second half of the seventh season as a recurring character, and even made an appearance in the series finale “Leaving Storybrooke”. She eventually appeared in 67 episodes of the Primetime Emmy Award-nominated series, which made her an international star.

Meantime, Rebecca wasn’t very active in pursuing other projects, though in 2017 she appeared in the comedy-drama film “It’s Gawd!”, starring Tommy Chong, Booboo Steward and Josh Meyers.
