Osama bin Laden was born on 10 March, 1957 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Osama Bin Laden formed the Islamist organization known as Al Qaeda., and under his direction the biggest terrorist attacks ever perpetrated were conducted against the United States on September 11 2001 during which many innocent people died, both military and civil. After these terrorist attacks, Osama became the most notorious, and sought, terrorist in the world.

So just how rich was Osama bin Laden? Currently, sources have estimated that the total size of Osama Bin Laden’s net worth is as high as $50 million, most of this wealth having been inherited from his father, Mohammed Bin Awad Bin Laden, who was very rich.

Osama Bin Laden graduated from elite high school, and then continued studying at King Abdulaziz University in Saudi Arabia, initially pursueing a diploma in business administration & economics, but then graduating with a civil engineering degree in 1979, and then in 1981 with a diploma in public administration. It is strange to hear that such an educated person could perpetrate such attacks.

As far as it is known, Osama became involved in radical organizations as the time when he was a student. The first organization was a mujahidden force, focused on destroying Soviet people living in Afghanistan. Of course, it was Osama who was one of the leaders of the organization as regards its finances. He even contributed to arming fighters from Arabia to Afghanistan. Actually, this position made Osama Bin Laden one of the most infamous people in the whole of Afghanistan.

Al Qaeda was established in 1988, but because of its activities in 1992 Osama was forced to leave Saudi Arabia, and chose to live Sudan. However, Americans forced Osama to leave Sudan, too. Then the time for his war came, and Osama moved to Afghanistan as a base from which to fight against the United States. In fact, Osama Bin Laden is considered to be responsible for bombings of US Embassies  in various places.

Osama Bin Laden`s career in terrorism attacks made him known worldwide. Of course, he is acknowledged as a negative person, but the fact is that Osama Bin Laden inherited a great net worth from his father and he managed to use it to devastating effect.

In his personal life, Osama bin Laden is known to have married at least five wives, and fathered over 20 children, many of whom reputably fled to Iran after the 2001 attacks, where they live under the watchful eye of the authorities.

He died on 2 May, 2011 in Pakistan, killed by the military of the United States. It is known that the US had direct evidence of Bin Laden`s location in Pakistan.
