Who is Molly McCook?
Molly Jane McCook was born in Los Angeles, California USA, on 30 July 1990 – her zodiac sign is Leo, and she holds American nationality. She’s an actress with more than 30 credits to her name, perhaps known best for her portrayal of Mandy Baxter in the critically acclaimed comedy series “Last Man Standing”, created by Jack Burditt, and which starred Tim Allen, Nancy Travis and Hector Elizondo. Early life and education
Molly was raised alongside her siblings Becky, Jake and Seth in Los Angeles, by their mother Laurette Spang-McCook and father John McCook; both their parents are successful actors, and John’s appeared in more than 70 movies and TV series, while he’s probably known best for his portrayal of Eric Forrester, one of the main characters in the soap opera “The Bold and the Beautiful”, which has been running since 1987.
Molly grew up being interested in various activities, but was mostly into acting, probably because both her parents often took her and her siblings to their movie and TV series sets. She was 16 when she made her debut TV series appearance, playing Emily J. in the 2006 episode “Mr. Monk and the Big Game” of the hit crime comedy drama “Monk”, created by Andy Breckman, and which starred Tony Shalhoub, Jason Gray-Stanford and Ted Levine. It follows a former detective suffering from obsessive-compulsive disorder, as he’s helping the San Francisco police solve crimes; the series aired from 2002 to 2009 and won 30 awards, including eight Primetime Emmys, while it was nominated for 47 other awards.

Molly then continued acting throughout her entire education. She studied at a local high school, and upon matriculating in 2008, chose not to pursue a college degree, but to focus on working her way up in the film industry.
Roles in TV series
Molly appeared in an episode of both the comedy “10 Things I Hate About You” and the musical comedy drama “Glee” in 2010, and the same year saw her play Margot in five episodes of the soap opera “The Bold and the Beautiful”.
In 2011, Molly played Andrea in the comedy “Glory Daze”, created by Walt Becker and Michael LeSieur, and which starred Kelly Blatz, Matt Bush and Drew Seeley; it follows a group of friends as they’re attending college in Wisconsin in the ‘80s. Molly was then cast to appear in an episode or two of various series, such as the comedy “Free Agents”, the drama “Never Fade Away”, and the action adventure drama “Agents of S. H. I. E. L. D.”

A couple of Molly’s following roles were in the 2012 short drama “Christmas Without You”, the romantic comedy “10 Rules for Sleeping Around” and the short comedy “Man Up, Little Boy” both in 2013.
She portrayed Aimee in the 2016 horror comedy drama “Trash Fire”, once again written and directed by Richard Bates Jr., and which starred Adrian Grenier, Angela Trimbur and Fionnula Flanagan. It tells the story of Owen and his girlfriend Isabel who’ve been entangled in a web of deceit, lies and murder, and the movie won two of the five awards for which it was nominated.
Three of Molly’s most recent film roles have been in the 2017 thriller “The Landlord”, the 2019 short comedy drama “37:24”, and the 2021 romantic comedy “Candy Coated Christmas”.
