His next major role came two years later, when he was chosen to play Fausto in Angelli Nesma Medina’s telenovela “Que Te Perdone Dios”, appearing in more than 120 episodes. He then joined the main cast of the third season of the American telenovela “Lady Of Steel”, in which he portrayed Jesús ‘Chucho’ Casares from 2016 to 2018. The series ran on Telemundo. Concurrently, he had the part of El quebrantahuesos in the crime film “Crímenes De Pasión 2”, directed by Óscar González and released in 2017.

Thereafter, Sergio was cast as Gavino Gaona in the first season of the American drama TV series “Falsa Identidad”, broadcast on Telemundo from 2018 to 2020 and later on Netflix.
