However, she rose to international stardom in 2021 when she was announced as Andrea Nunez in the award-winning TV biopic crime-drama series “Narcos: Mexico”, which tells the story of the rise of the Guadalajara Cartel as an American DEA agent targeting narcos in Mexico. She appeared in 10 episodes, including in the finale of the critically acclaimed series as a Mexican journalist employed by La Voz, and the narrator of the third season of “Narcos: Mexico”, and the second fictional protagonist. She plays the major role in revealing all the drug lord’s secrets, and stars alongside Scoot McNairy, Jose Maria Yazpik, and Alejandro Edda, among other stars of the series.

Although she didn’t win any awards for her portrayal of Andrea Nunez, Luisa still shot to international fame.
