Who is Truly Young?

American social media star, YouTuber and singer-songwriter Truly Young was born under the zodiac sign Leo on 8 August 2001, in California USA. She’s perhaps known best for her presence on the internet, including her YouTube channel “Truly Young Production”, which she launched on 11 January 2020, and which is today subscribed to by more than 1,300 people. All of Truly’s 16 videos combined have amassed nearly 150,000 likes – most are short videos which she’s produced, while she’s also starred in some of these.

She’s also known for being a daughter of Dr. Dre, a famous American record producer and rapper who’s the CEO and founder of both Beats Electronics and Aftermath Entertainment, as well as a co-founder and former president of Death Row Records; his net worth’s been estimated at more than $500 million.

Education and early life

Truly was raised in Los Angeles, California alongside her older brother Truice, born in 1997, by their father Dr. Dre and mother Nicole Threatt Young (nee Plotzker); the two divorced in December 2021. Truly has seven half-siblings from her father’s many relationships.

She studied at a private high school in Los Angeles and it was during her four years there that she became passionate about music, and decided to pursue a career as a singer, wanting to follow in her father’s footsteps -Truly mostly looked up to famous American singer-songwriter Gwen Stefani. She was into a couple of other activities during her teenage years as she learned to play the piano, appeared in various school plays and ran track.

Truly matriculated in 2019, and then enrolled at the University of Southern California, from which she graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in 2023.

Most viewed YouTube videos

Truly’s quite popular on YouTube, not because of her channel, but thanks to other users who’ve posted videos of her, with most of these being her original songs, while some are about her father Dr. Dre. We’ll cover Truly’s three most viewed videos, as they’ve contributed to her overall popularity.

Her #1 video “By Your Side – Nawlage Feat Truly Young” has been watched more than 1.3 million times since it was posted by LexC Kody on 15 July 2012; it’s an original song by Truly and Nawlage, which is about love and relationships in general.

Truly’s second most popular video “So Into You – Nawlage Feat Truly Young” has been viewed over 600,000 times since it was posted by PinkysMusiccx on 30 October 2011, and is another song by Truly and Nawlage, with this one being about love, as well.

Her #3 video “Your Side – Nawlage Feat Truly Young” has been watched over 120,000 times since Lucy Lavado posted it on 30 July 2012, and is another love song by Nawlage and Truly – the music video features her dancing with her two friends.

Presence on the internet

Truly’s active on various social media networks and these today seem to be her main source of income. More than 120,000 people are following her on Instagram, and she’s uploaded close to 350 pictures and videos, with most featuring her during her everyday life, whether she’s reading a book, attending modelling photoshoots or recording music.

Truly’s only recently created her TikTok account, which is why it’s today followed by only 39 people; she’s shared 22 videos and these have all together amassed more than 1,000 likes. Most feature her showing off her slim figure, singing her original songs, and lip syncing to those of other musicians.

Her Twitter account – ‘Truly Young Production’ – is today followed by only two people; it was created in February 2021 and today numbers 14 posts, most of which serve to promote Truly’s YouTube channel and announce the upload of her new videos.

Truly created her Facebook profile sometime in the mid-2010s, but she’s today using it only to keep in touch with the people whom she knows in real life, rather than to interact with her fans; she still tends to keep the account updated, often sharing the same pictures that can be found on her Instagram account.

Love life and relationships

Truly rarely speaks about her love life on the internet, but we know that she’s today in a relationship with American non-celebrity Aidan Korte. She’s featured him in some of her Instagram pictures and videos; some of her fans have claimed that Aidan resembles Eminem, however, he isn’t a musician, and prefers to stay away from the media’s attention. Some people on the internet have claimed that Truly and Aidan have recently become engaged, but this hasn’t been addressed by them.

There are some who claim that Truly’s bisexual, and had previously dated several girls, but this hasn’t been confirmed either.

Truly’s in a relationship with Aidan Korte as of January 2024, hasn’t married and doesn’t have children.

Interesting fact and hobbies

Truly enjoys doing cosplay, and has visited a couple of US states to attend various cosplay events; she’s also visit several European countries as travelling has become one of her favorite hobbies, and her dream travel destination’s Marseille, France.

She’s into fashion and reads various magazines on a daily basis, while she goes shopping for clothes quite often.

Truly’s following a rather strict diet and only allows a couple of cheat meals for herself every week.

She’s quite close to her father, and has featured him in some of her internet content.

Truly’s passionate about dancing; she’s been taking lessons for many years now, and can dance a variety of styles, including jazz, tap and ballet.
