There were various rumors concerning her relationship and marriage with Prince; one of them was saying that Prince cheated on his then-wife Mayte Garcia with Manuela, since soon after they divorced, Prince married Manuela. Rumors were saying that Manuela is a gold-digger since she was 24 years old, and Prince was in his forties.
Mayte wrote in her book “The Most Beautiful: My Life with Prince” that Manuela was stalking Prince. According to her, Manuela was writing messages to Prince saying that she wants to work for his charity organization, and that is how they met.
