Early life, family, and education
Lyrica Nasha Anderson was born under the zodiac sign of Scorpio on 18 November 1987, in Los Angeles, California USA; she holds American nationality and her ethnicity is African-American. She was raised in her hometown by her parents, father Johnny Anderson about whom little is known, and mother Marcy Thomas, better known by her stage name, Lyrica Garret, an actress and singer, who is a former member of the trio Ikette, who sang backing vocals for Ike & Tina Turner.
Her mother divorced her father, and remarried Darius Garrett in 1994, and with whom Lyrica then lived.
Lyrica had an identical twin sister, Adia, who unfortunately died when they were three years old – and in one of her interviews, she spoke about her saying that they were born premature and both were sick, however, Adia contracted pneumonia and didn’t make it. In 2017, Lyrica released the album named “Adia” in honor of her late sister.
Lyrica had an interest in music from an early age, and while she was in middle school performed at a talent competition, and being raised by a successful singer who supported her dream of becoming a music star, it isn’t surprising that Lyrica entered the music industry shortly after her matriculation from a local high school in 2005; she didn’t enroll in college.
Career
From 2004, Lyrica began writing songs for other artists – some of her notable materials are songs such as “More” (Tamia), “I Miss You” (Webbie), and “Footwurkin” (Keke Palmer), while in 2009, she co-wrote the song “Pyramid” for Filipina singer, Charice, which in the following year peaked at number one on the US Dance Club Songs chart, which then led to her collaboration with Demi Lovato in 2011.
Lyrica wrote two songs for Demi’s third album, and “All Night Long” and “Together” had a huge success among the public.
In September 2012, Lyrica released her debut mixtape “King Me”, and then in the following year co-wrote the song “Jealous” for Beyonce’s fifth studio album.
In May 2014, Lyrica released her debut extended play (EP), entitled “King Me 2”, featuring guest appearances from Woz Khalifa, Ty Dolla $ign, and Kevin Gates.
In October 2015, Lyrica’s debut studio album “Hello” came out, and two years later, she released her second album “Adia”, and in 2020 her third album “Bad Hair Day”.

There have been various rumors concerning Lyrica’s love life, however, most controversies and affairs were related to herself and her husband Floyd Eugene Bentley III, also known as A1 Bentley – it seems that he’s now going under a new stage name, SprngBrk.
He is a record producer, rapper, and songwriter, from Kansas City, Kansas USA, and besides his music career, he’s perhaps known best for his appearance in the reality show “Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood”.
Lyrica and A1 Bentley came into the limelight after they started dating back in 2015, and became engaged in 2016, when they both entered the show. At first their relationship was full of love and compassion, but as the time went on, they became more and more quarrelsome.
One of the problems was their mothers, who constantly interfered in their lives and relationship, however, in August 2016 the two married, and it seemed that their problems were left behind. Then their marriage was thrown into turmoil after rumors about A1 being unfaithful started.
However, Lyrica was also accused of having an extramarital affair, and K. Michelle, one of the cast members of “Love & Hip Hop” told A1 that she saw Lyrica with Safaree Samuels, a rapper who joined the cast, but Safaree told A1 that nothing happened and that they just talk about music. During the show, A1 admitted that he slept with Summer Bunni, a rapper, and model, who was also a cast member of the fifth season.
Lyrica and her husband eventually reconciled after she discovered that she was pregnant; on 30 November 2018, she gave birth to their son, Ocean Zion Bentley, however, during the last episode of the sixth season of “Love & Hip Hop”, Lyrica asked A1 to divorce, and he ultimately agreed to her request.
They are not yet officially divorced, however, in January 2022, it was announced that Lyrica filed for divorce citing irreconcilable differences.
