Who is Lexi Giovagnoli?

Alexandra Marie ‘Lexi’ Giovagnoli was born in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio USA, on 17 July 1991 – her zodiac sign is Cancer, and she holds American nationality. She’s an actress and film producer, with close to 50 acting credits to her name, perhaps known best for her portrayal of the main character Kate Miller, in the 2019 romantic movie “Pride and Prejudice, Cut”. It was directed by Michael Kampa, based on the eponymous novel by Jane Austen, and also starred David Witts and James Nitti. It follows an American vlogger who’s been cast to star in the British production of the play “Pride and Prejudice”, but is having a hard time adopting her accent; the movie won five of the six awards for which it was nominated.

Early life and education

Lexi was raised in Cuyahoga Falls alongside her brothers Vincent, Dante and Dominic, by their mother Elizabeth Snoderly and their father about whom nothing’s known, as he prefers to be left out of media.

She grew up being interested in dancing, and was seven years old when she started taking lessons; at around the same time, the family moved to Pawley’s Island, South Carolina. Lexi became interested in acting after she watched her first theatre play, aged 12, and upon enrolling at a local high school in 2005, she joined its drama club and began appearing in school plays. She was 16 when she launched her acting career, with her starring role in the short family movie “Nice to See You”, then in 2008 she appeared in two movies: the short historical family drama “TTN: Passport Redrock”, and the short drama “The Sit Down”.

Upon matriculating in 2009, Lexi enrolled at Loyola Marymount University, from which she graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in management in 2013.

Roles in movies

In 2010, Lexi played Goth Girl in the drama “Suicide Dolls”, and gained recognition in the following year, when cast to appear in the critically acclaimed romantic comedy drama “Crazy, Stupid, Love”. It was directed by Glenn Ficarra and John Requa, starred Steve Carell, Ryan Gosling and Julianne Moore, and follows a man whose wife has asked for a divorce, while he’s now learning to pick up girls at the bar all over again. The movie won four of the 27 awards for which it was nominated.

A couple of Lexi’s following roles were in the 2011 comedy “3 Times a Charm”, the science fiction thriller “95ers: Echoes” and the  horror “Bloody Homecoming” both in 2013.

In 2015, Lexi starred alongside Jonathan Bennett and Dina Meyer in the family comedy drama “A Dogwalker’s Christmas Tale”. It was directed by Letia Clouston, and follows the college student Luce who cares for a land developer’s dog during holidays, while she’s now fallen in love with a man who’s protesting against her boss, because he wants to destroy a dog park and turn it into a spa.

Lexi could’ve then been seen playing supporting characters in a couple of popular movies, such as the  romantic drama “Accidentally Engaged” and the  romantic comedy “Girlfriends of Christmas Past” both in 2016, and the 2017 romantic comedy drama “Sweet Home Carolina”.

Her three most recent movie roles have been in the romantic comedy “Accidentally in Love”, the romantic drama “A Christmas Wish in Hudson”, and another romantic drama “Christmas Lovers Anonymous”, all released in 2021.

Lexi has appeared in only a single TV series. In 2011 and 2012, she played a supporting character in the adventure drama “Passport to Explore”, which also starred Leonard C. Lexi has three writing, 12 producing and one directing credit. In 2016, she dated the artist and art director Jason Hamilton, and uploaded a picture onto her Instagram account, which featured them dining together on Valentine’s Day; they apparently dated for only around two months.

There are rumors circulating the internet claiming that Lexi is bisexual; a fan believes to have seen Lexi kissing her girlfriend at a party in Los Angeles, California, but this hasn’t been confirmed, nor has Lexi commented on this.

As of February 2022, she seems to be single, hasn’t married and doesn’t have children.

Hobbies and other interests
