His professional playing career was active from 2012 to 2015.

Jonathan Martin Net Worth $3 Million

Jonathan Martin is the son of Jane Howard-Martin, who works as a corporate lawyer at Toyota, and Gus Martin, who is a professor of criminal justice administration at California State University. He went to John Thomas Dye School, after which attended Harvard-Westlake School in Los Angeles, California. While in high school, he began playing football and thanks to his skills, he earned All-Mission League honors as a junior, and a year later was named to the All-Mission League selection. Upon matriculation, he was committed to play at the University of California, Los Angeles, for its team – the UCLA Bruins, but instead he went to play for the Stanford Cardinals at the Stanford University. He distinguished himself as a player, so he won All-Pac 10 selection and was named a first team All-American. He graduated with a BA degree in Classics (Ancient History).

Subsequently, Martin’s professional playing career began when he was selected in the 2012 NFL Draft as the 42nd overall pick in the second round by the Miami Dolphins, so he signed a rookie contract, which marked the beginning of his net worth. He began to play in the position of right tackle – in the first season, he was fined for illegal clipping. However, in his first 12 games, Martin ranked the 63rd out of the 69 NFL tackles. In December, he returned to play on the position of left tackle, but at the beginning of the next season, he had to leave the team due to emotional distress, as several teammates mistreated him. The NFL Players Association hired a lawyer to investigate that scandal, and on the 3rd November 2013, Richie Incognito was suspended by the team, as it was discovered that he was the leader in the harassment of Martin, alongside two other players, John Jerry and Mike Pouncey, and that he sent a number of threatening text messages and voicemail to him and his family. Thus, Martin made a decision not to play again for the Dolphins.

In March of 2014, the Dolphins decided to trade Martin to the San Francisco 49ers, but he appeared with the team in only nine games, so he was waived in 2015. In July of the same year, he retired.

When it comes to speak about Jonathan Martin’s personal life, there is no information about it in the media.
