Who is Gabriel Soto?

Gabriel Soto Borja-Diaz was born in Mexico City on 17 April 1975 – his zodiac sign is Aries, and he holds Mexican nationality. He’s an actor and a model, with more than 30 acting credits to his name, while he’s perhaps still known best for his portrayal of Camilo Galvan, in the 2011 romantic drama series “The Power of Destiny”. Created by Maria Zarattini, it starred David Zepeda, Delia Casanova and Rosa Maria Bianchi, and numbers 102 episodes.

Early life, family and education

Gabriel was raised in Mexico City by his parents, about whom nothing’s known as he respects their privacy. As he hasn’t spoken of having any siblings, he’s believed to be an only child.

He became interested in acting and modelling while attending a local high school, and was into various other activities, including working out at the gym, playing soccer, and singing; Gabriel was a member of his high school’s drama club, and appeared in various plays performed at the school.

Upon matriculating in 1992, he launched his modelling career, and won the beauty pageant El Modelo Mexico; he then entered Mister World in 1996, and placed second. The same year saw him graduate from Edron Academy, with a Bachelor of Arts degree.

Gabriel made his debut TV series appearance in 1996, with his portrayal of Juan in the episode “Malaysia” of the romantic drama “Mi Querida Isabel”, and gained recognition in 2002, when cast to star as Adolfo Lascurain, in the romantic crime drama “Las Vias del Amor”, which also starred Aracely Arambula and Jorge Salinas, and won Daniela Romo an INTE Award for Supporting Actress of the Year (Talento: Actriz de Reparto del Ano).

In 2004, Gabriel played the main character Carlos Gomez in all 205 episodes of the action crime adventure “Wooden Woman”, which also starred Jaime Cacmil and Ludwika Paleta, and follows Marissa whose father has just died in a wild fire, so she’s inherited his ranch. Marissa is in love with Cesar, but another woman has broken her heart by claiming that she’s soon to give birth to Cesar’s child.

On 17 February 2009, she gave birth to their daughter Elissa Marie, and on 19 February 2014, to their second daughter Alexa Miranda; Gabriel and Géraldine divorced on 7 March 2018, for unknown reasons.
