Who is Erin Richards?

Erin Richards was born in Penarth, Vale of Glamorgan, Wales, on 17 May 1986 – her zodiac sign is Taurus, and she holds British nationality. She’s an actress, film script writer and director, who has been credited with appearing in over 20 movies and TV series, while she’s perhaps known best for her portrayal of one of the main characters, Barbara Kean, in the critically acclaimed action crime series “Gotham”. It was created by Bruno Heller, also starred Ben McKenzie, Jada Pinkett Smith and Donal Logue, and follows the life of detective James Gordon before Batman arrived in Gotham City; it aired from 2014 to 2019, and won eight awards, including a Primetime Emmy, while it was nominated for 62 other awards.

Early life and education

Erin was raised in Penarth by her British parents, about whom nothing’s known as she respects their privacy; she hasn’t spoken of having any siblings, so she’s believed to be an only child.

She became interested in acting while still attending a local elementary school, and upon enrolling at high school in 2000, Erin joined its drama club, and began appearing in school plays. She was interested in various other activities during those four years, including singing, dancing and practicing creative writing.

She matriculated in 2004, and then enrolled at Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama; the following year saw Erin make her debut film appearance, with her portrayal of Luce in the horror comedy “Expiry Date”.

In 2008, Erin was cast to play Milly in the thriller drama “Abraham’s Point”, while she then starred in the 2009 short drama “17” and the 2010 short sports drama “Balance”.

Erin played the supporting character Sharon in the 2013 mystery science fiction horror “Open Grave”, directed by Gonzalo Lopez-Gallego, and which starred Sharlto Copley, Thomas Kretschmann and Josie Ho.

In 2018, Erin portrayed Amber in the romantic comedy drama “Irreplaceable You”, directed by Stephanie Laing, and which starred Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Michiel Huisman and Steve Coogan. It follows a boy and a girl who have known each other since they were eight years old, and have now fallen in love.

Two of Erin’s most recent movie roles have been in the 2018 short action drama “Hot Girl” and the 2019 comedy “The Return of the Yuletide Kid”, while she has just recently finished shooting for two upcoming movies: the dramas “Save the Cinema” and “Grey Elephant”.

Erin made her debut TV series appearance in a 2010 episode of the drama “Crash”, and the following year saw her play Nancy Reid, in two episodes of the critically acclaimed fantasy comedy drama “Being Human”.

In 2012, she starred as Molly Hughes in the popular crime comedy “Breaking In”, created by Seth Gordon and Adam F. Goldberg, and which also starred Bret Harrison and Alphonso McAuley; it follows several people who are working at a high-tech security company. The same year saw Erin play Eira, in two episodes of the award-winning fantasy adventure drama “Merlin”, and in 2013, she made a guest appearance in an episode of both the action crime drama “Crossing Lines” and the fantasy comedy drama “Misfits”.

Most recently, in 2020 she starred as Renee Pelagie in the pilot episode of the fantasy drama “The Brides”, but which failed to be picked up by any network.

Other credits

Erin lent her voice to Beth Wilder Prototype in the 2016 video game “Quantum Break”.

She has one writing and four directing credits -she wrote and directed the 2018 short action film “Hot Girl”, while she then directed the 2019 episode “Legend of the Dark Knight: The Trial of Jim Gordon” of the series “Gotham”, and the 2020 episode “The Atheist Papers” of the series “God Friended Me”. She has directed the drama movie “Everything I Ever Wanted to Tell My Daughter About Men”, set to be released by the end of 2021.

Erin has made a guest appearance in a number of talk-shows, such as “Last Call with Carson Daly”, “Celebrity Page” and “Behind the Panel”.

Love life and boyfriend

Erin is highly secretive when it comes to her love life, and hasn’t spoken of any men or women whom she has perhaps been with. This is probably why there are various rumors circulating the internet, most of which concern her sexual orientation and current relationship status.

Many of Erin’s fans believe the popular actress to be a lesbian, claiming that this is why she hasn’t mentioned any men whom she has dated; a fan has even claimed to have seen Erin spending time at a club in Los Angeles with a woman who could perhaps be her girlfriend, but no evidence has been provided to support this, nor has Erin commented on the matter.

There are also those who believe that she’s today in a relationship with a non-celebrity British man, but prefers to keep him away from media; this hasn’t been confirmed either.

As of November 2021, Erin appears to be single, hasn’t married and doesn’t have children.

Hobbies and other interests

Eris seems to be enjoying the attention which she’s receiving from her close to 500,000 Instagram followers, and is quite active on the network; she’s uploaded nearly 1,000 pictures, most of which have been taken during her everyday life.

She’s a huge fan of sports, with her favorite being tennis, while her favorite tennis player is Novak Djokovic.

Erin is a lover of animals, and has a pet dog and a pet cat. She has apparently donated money to an animal shelter close to her home in Penarth.

Erin likes to watch animated movies in her spare time, and a couple of her favorites are “Soul”, “Inside Out” and the trilogy “How To Train Your Dragon”. She has her own favorite actors and actresses, some of whom are Jim Carrey, Tom Hanks and Amanda Seyfried, while a couple of her favorite Hollywood movies include “Bruce Almighty”, “Saving Private Ryan” and “Dear John”.

Erin’s age is 35. She has long brown hair and blue eyes, her height is 5ft 5ins (1.65m) and she weighs around 120lbs (55kgs).
