Who is Sam Esmail?

American movie writer, producer and director Sam Esmail, was born in Hoboken, New Jersey USA, under the zodiac sign of Virgo on 17 September 1977. He’s written 10, produced 13 and directed nine movies and TV series, while he’s probably best known for producing the crime thriller series “Mr. Robot”, which starred Carly Chaikin, Christian Slater and Rami Malek, and follows a hacker and his allies as they’re trying to destroy a corrupt corporation; the series aired from 2015 to 2019 and won 24 of its 109 award nominations.

Education and early life

Sam’s Egyptian immigrant parents raised him alongside his two younger brothers and an older sister in Hoboken; not a lot about Sam’s family is known, because he respects their privacy, while it’s known that his sister’s also involved in the film industry, and that she worked on his series “Mr. Robot” as a post-production co-ordinator.

Sam was five when he and his family moved to South Carolina, prior to settling in Charlotte, North Carolina. Sam’s producing debut was the 2002 short action comedy movie “The Lobo Paramilitary Christmas Special”, and he then directed the 2004 romantic mystery movie “Deep Down in Florida”.
