By his senior year, he ranked among the top ten for touchdowns and catches made by a wide receiver in the Public School Athletic League. Ellis continued his education and sports career at Hofstra University. Here, he played alongside Marques Colston, a future New Orleans Saints wide receiver. In 2005, Ellis recorded impressive stats, finishing his college career with remarkable achievements and graduating in 2007.
Career: More than a Sportsman
Despite a commendable college performance, Devale went undrafted in the 2006 NFL Draft. Nevertheless, he joined the Detroit Lions’ practice squad in September 2006. He made brief appearances on the main roster and later signed a future contract with the Cleveland Browns at the end of 2008. However, his stint with the Browns was short-lived, leading to his retirement from the NFL in 2010. Soon after, he ventured into acting.
