Raised in Miami Beach, Brandon attended Klein Collins High School and later enrolled at the University of Miami, where he studied business management. Upon finishing his studies, Richardson joined the US Army, rising to sergeant, and later receiving the Operation Iraqi Freedom medal in 2006. The early beginnings of Brandon’s career date back to 2000 when he started modeling for a local talent agency. His interest in acting was demonstrated in 2003 when he worked on the short film called “Tundra II”, which won him a Best Short Film award at the Aspen Shortsfest. However, due to his years-long service in the US army, Richardson’s career was put on hold until five years later, when he appeared in two films – “The American Dream” and the romantic comedy “Meet the Browns” in 2008, based on the play of the same title. His next appearance was on the television screens, when he guest-starred in an episode of the reality show “Kortney and Kim Take Miami” (2010), subsequently being nominated for the Teen Choice Award for Choice Activist. However, the following year proved to be very fruitful for Brandon’s career, as it brought him a role in the British movie “Human Desires”, and launched him into the cast of two reality TV shows, one of which was “Tough Love”, aired on VH1; Richardson appeared in the fourth season of the show, starring in 23 episodes altogether and gaining significant popularity, as well as boosting his net worth.

In 2012 Brandon guest starred in episodes of “Law and Order” and “The Cleveland Show”, and soon after landed roles in films “Shake” and “The Heat” both in 2013. His other notable appearances include films such as “Dark House” (2014), “Horrible Bosses 2” (2014), “Jurassic World” (2015), “Magic Mike XXL” (2015) and “Nerve” (2016).

Apart from his regular acting career, Richardson also had a voiceover role, when he voiced a character in an episode of “Family Guy” (2014).  Brandon also appeared next to NBA stars Kevin Durant and Dwyane Wade, in a Gatorade commercial entitled “Nightmare” in 2012.

When it comes to his private life, Brandon has a son born in April 2015, but is quiet about who the mother is. He currently resides in Houston, Texas.
