Actress and director Angela Evelyn Bassett Vance was born on 16 August 1958, in New York City USA, and is probably best known for her roles in such films as “The Score”, “Jumping the Broom”, “Music of the Heart” and “Meet the Browns” . During her career Angela has been nominated for and has won such awards as an Academy, Black Reel, BET, MTV Movie and Golden Globe Awards, among many others. Recently she has been working on the shows “American Horror Story: Coven” and “Freak Show”.

In 1986 Angela appeared in the movie called “F/X”, and in the same dcade she was acclaimed for her roles in such movies as “Malcolm X”, and “Boyz ‘n the Hood”, which had a huge impact on the growth of her net worth. In Angela’s personal life, she has been married to Courtney B. Vance since 1997, and the couple has twins born in 2006.

Bassett participates in many charity events and supports charity campaigns. She was also a keen supporter of Barack Obama during his presidential campaigns and his time in office.
