Who is James’ mother Sarah?

Sarah Jessica Parker was born in Nelsonville, Ohio USA on 25 March 1965, making her zodiac sign Aries. She’s had roles in over 60 movies and TV series, and is perhaps still best known for her playing the main character Carrie Bradshaw in the evergreen romantic comedy series “Sex and the City”, which Darren Star created, and which also starred Kristin Davis and Kim Cattrall. It follows the lives of four female friends living in New York City in the ‘90s, the series aired from 1998 to 2004 and won 55 of its 121 award nominations.

Sarah was raised in Nelsonville alongside her seven siblings, by their father Stephen Parker who was a journalist, and mother Barbara Parker (nee Keck) who was a teacher and nursery school operator. Stephen and Barbara divorced when Sarah was three, and she then lived with her mother and her third husband Paul Forste, an American truck driver; the family often moved, and Sarah switched schools close to 10 times.

She grew up practicing ballet and singing, and was nine when she launched her acting career, making an uncredited appearance in the 1974 drama movie “The Little Match Girl”. She had no roles in the following six years, and rather focused on education and dancing; she studied at Dwight Morrow High School and School of American Ballet, as well as a couple of other schools, including Hollywood High School, School for Creative and Performing Arts and New York Professional Children’s School; upon matriculating in 1983, Sarah didn’t enroll at college.

It follows a plastics manufacturer whose wife has just passed away, while his four adult children have now moved in with him; the series won five of its eight award nominations.

The year 1993 saw Sarah star alongside Bette Midler and Kathy Najimy in the critically acclaimed family fantasy comedy movie “Hocus Pocus”, which Kenny Ortega directed, and which follows teenage boy Max, who’s accidentally awoken three diabolical witches; the movie won two of its 13 award nominations. Some of Sarah’s other notable performances in the ‘90s were in the 1995 romantic comedy movie “Miami Rhapsody”, the 1996 drama film “The Substance of Fire”, and the 1999 romantic family comedy movie “Dudley Do-Right”.

The year 2005 saw her star as Meredith Morton in the romantic comedy movie “The Family Stone”, written and directed by Thomas Bezucha, and which also starred Dermot Mulroney and Claire Danes. It follows a conservative businesswoman as she’s spending Christmas with her boyfriend’s free-spirited family, and the movie won four of its 12 award nominations. Some of Sarah’s notable performances in the remainder of the decade were in the 2007 drama movie “Spinning Into Butter”, the 2008 romantic comedy film “Smart People”, and the 2009 romantic comedy movie “Did You Hear About the Morgans?”

What marked the 2010s for her was probably her playing of Maggie Falk in the 2015 romantic comedy movie “All Roads Lead to Rome”, directed by Ella Lemhagen, and in which Sarah starred alongside Raoul Bova and Claudia Cardinale. It follows the life of Maggie, a single mother who’s working at a college in New York City, and who’s now embarked on a journey to a Tuscan village where she used to spend time when she was younger.
